Kyle Richards Shares New Insight Into Her Relationship with Mauricio: "Still..."
The RHOBH diamond holder revealed whether she's "get[ting] along" with her estranged husband these days.
A year after they separated, Kyle Richards is revealing where things stand with her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, today.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member shared an update on her relationship with the real estate broker during a recent Amazon Live stream.
"We get along very well. There’s no arguing or anything like that. There never was," she stated on the August 27 livestream about her husband, who she shares daughters Alexia, Sophia, and Portia Umansky with. (Kyle also has daughter Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie from her first marriage.) "I mean, it’s still the same."
Are Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky divorced?
Though Kyle and her husband decided to separate in the summer of 2023 after 27 years of marriage, neither spouse has made a legal move towards formalizing their split.
In December 2023, she told The Messenger, “We haven’t spoken about [divorce] yet."
“No, that has not come up yet," she continued. "Obviously, we know that it is potentially something that could happen with us. We just haven’t gone that route yet.”
Why did Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky split?
Kyle and Mauricio separated in the summer of 2023, but Kyle did not publicly confirm the news until she appeared on the October 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. On WWHL, Kyle noted that she was the one who decided to separate from Mauricio.
"It originated from me, I would say," she explained on the show. "Yeah, it did."
About four months later, Kyle appeared on TODAY, and she discussed what led to the split. "It's not like there was one big thing, and we do love each other very much and have a lot of respect for each other, so that makes it even harder to make a decision like that... we were never a couple [who] fought."
Do Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have a prenup?
Kyle and Mauricio did not sign a prenup prior to their 1996 nuptials, which could explain why they are taking their time before divorcing.
"We did not have a prenup. My husband did not have a penny when I married him…" Kyle said during an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live in January 2024. "He was in the clothing business when I met him, making no money."
Kyle said that the pair "built everything together" in the years since they tied the knot.
"He didn’t have any money when I married him and it’s our money," she continued. "Let’s be very clear about that. It’s [a] very clean cut. Everything is half regardless."
