Kyle and Dorit Reveal Unseen Details from Explosive Confrontation: “I’m Pissed”
Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley discussed their ongoing drama during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.
Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley aren't holding back when it comes to their drama on Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, there's even more to the story. On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, the duo shared new details about their explosive confrontation that went down in Episode 3.
In the After Show video above, Dorit first explained why she addressed her issues with Kyle during a group dinner. "I'm pissed," she said. "I am not happy, and we've got sh-t to talk about."
Meanwhile, Kyle said that she felt like they had nowhere to go in their conversation or relationship.
"I don't think this is going anywhere. Maybe it's time to just walk away from this, honestly. Because I can be patient to a certain degree because I know what she's going through, and then I'm like, 'You know what? Now you're just another problem for me in my life I don't need,'" explained the actress, noting she felt they were making a "spectacle" of themselves by having the conversation in front of everyone else.
Dorit added that she thinks that — since Kyle is used to being "aggressive" to her — it was surprising to have her fight back. "You've made me feel like, 'Is this friendship even worth fighting for?' Let alone being walked all over for."
Thus, she needed to be candid in their conversation. And remember to listen, too, according to Bozoma Saint John.
Why Teddi Mellencamp Was Brought into Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley's Drama
Kyle also noted that, for her, it's frustrating that Dorit has a hard time taking accountability in relationships. One example: when an audience member at a BravoCon 2023 panel made a negative comment about Teddi Mellencamp and Dorit didn't say anything to defend her.
"I just wanted her to acknowledge something," Kyle said. "That says a lot about her character, that she did not want to defend Teddi at all...We know that they're friends."
Dorit's defense? She felt like Kyle was "grasping at straws" when she called out this issue.
"Her being mad at me because I didn't stick up for a friend, mostly of hers, just felt like a big stretch. It's not to say that she can't have those feelings, I understand. But we had reached a point in our friendship where I was on the outside. She had not spoken to me. There was very clearly, you know, a big reason," said Dorit. "We were good friends, and how do you go from that to being totally isolated and then say that the reason is that I didn't stick up for Teddi on a stage where I didn't want to give any life to some troll?"
Where do Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley stand today?
Despite it all, Dorit is still an important figure in Kyle's life.
"I still consider her a close friend of mine," Kyle said. "But, like I said, you put yourself in that category of not being that close of a friend of mine by saying and doing those things."
Nevertheless, Dorit stands by her feelings.
"She's got a way of turning things around," she concluded. "She'll either get very aggressive or she'll play the victim. And I think she just thought one of those is going to get me to back down, sweep it under the rug, move on...I have these feelings. They're very real. And until you recognize that they're real, we're not going anywhere."
