Why Kyle Richards Was "Very Surprised" by Dorit & PK: "Not the Couple That I Knew"
RHOBH's Kyle Richards explained why it was "very sad" for her to watch Dorit and PK's tense interaction on Season 14.
Kyle Richards is reacting to Dorit Kemsley and Paul "PK" Kemsley's emotional conversation on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14.
The mom of four admitted that she was "very surprised" to see the estranged spouses be so tense with one another on the November 26 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (which filmed a few days earlier at Bravo Fan Fest 2024).
"I was very surprised to see them like that because that’s not the couple that I knew," Kyle, who was friendly with the couple before she separated from Mauricio Umansky in 2023, said. "Of course we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors, but it was very sad."
Garcelle Beauvais, who also appeared on the Bravo Fan Fest panel, was proud of Dorit for being so open on the show. "Very brave of them that they shared that and had that scene," she said during the panel. "It was tough to watch."
As fans may recall, Dorit and PK announced their separation in a joint statement posted on their respective Instagram feeds in May 2024. The couple wed in 2015, and they share a son named Jagger Kemsley and a daughter named Phoenix Kemsley together.

The 14-time diamond holder's friendship with Dorit fell apart during RHOBH Season 13, and the ladies are still slightly estranged today.
During an episode of WWHL in February 2024, Kyle said that she was "hurt" by some of the things Dorit was saying about her in confessionals from Season 13. She also was upset when she found out that Dorit had shared a private text message she sent on the RHOBH reunion.
Dorit, on the other hand, said that "the final straw" for her was when Kyle minimized their friendship.
But while Dorit and Kyle may not be on the best of terms at the moment, the latter diamond holder does still have a friendship with PK. A trailer for RHOBH Season 14 revealed that Kyle and PK still text one another.
While Kyle has said that she mainly sends PK funny memes, Dorit explained what "surprised" her about their texts.
"You know, all of these things, obviously, I learned afterwards, so I wasn't surprised," Dorit said on the November 19 episode of WWHL before adding that it felt different when she found out that Kyle had texted PK about the split before she even reached out to her.
"I was surprised in the moment that she had texted him before she ever texts me," Dorit continued on WWHL. "And then Erika [Jayne] had to encourage her to text me."
