Kyle Cooke is a man of many catchphrases, but "Summer should be fun!" stands out above the rest. So, of course, we put it on shirts, stickers, and even a can-shaped glass from Shop by Bravo. This catchphrase is one that's easy to love. It's short, simple, and gets to the heart of Kyle: He works hard, he knows his friends work hard too, and he just wants good vibes for everyone during their weekends off.
The Loverboy founder first said it in Summer House Season 2, Episode 9, which was appropriately titled "Summer Should Be Fun." While some of the cast members may have changed since 2018, the dynamics among a group of friends and potential lovers living together usually stays the same.
At the time, Kyle's declaration was directed towards his then-girlfriend and now-wife Amanda Batula. From Amanda's perspective, given existing tension in the house — some of which, she felt, was exacerbated by Kyle — she suggested that Kyle tone down his behavior. He didn't think that was necessary.

"Summer should be fun!" the entrepreneur announced, adding that he didn't think Amanda wasn't being fun enough. Of course, they worked it out, and the quote became immortalized on its own.
So let's celebrate it!

"Summer should be fun" may have first been uttered in Season 2, but even deep into Season 8, it still applies. With every night out Kyle puts together, creative theme party he goes full-throttle for, and tense situation he (lovingly) forces people to address head-on, you can see how it's more than just a catchphrase, or a personal ethos. For him, "Summer should be fun" is a lifestyle. And everyone should get to enjoy it.
