Kristen Doute Shares New Pregnancy Details — Including a Big Hint About Her Baby’s Sex
The Valley's Kristen Doute and fiancé Luke Broderick also revealed when they'll be publicly sharing the sex of their baby.
Kristen Doute is sharing new details about her pregnancy journey.
ICYMI, The Valley cast member and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, announced that they were expecting their first child on November 26. And while Kristen initially said that only her castmate and bestie, Brittany Cartwright, knew the sex of the baby, things have changed.
"We have to refer to it as it... we know the gender, OK guys? We know," Kristen teased on the November 30 episode of her and Luke's podcast, Balancing Act with Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick.
The couple noted that they plan to publicly announce the baby news soon. "We know now, but we are keeping that to ourselves just for a teeny bit longer," the Vanderpump Rules alum said. "But you'll know by next week. We just wanted to keep something close to the chest."
"Yeah, hold a little something back," Luke added, before sharing some of the things he's looking forward to the most about becoming a dad. "I mean, I don't know, I'm just excited. I'm excited for all the big days, for you to give birth, I'm excited for the first words, first steps, etc. You know, everything. I know you're excited for all the clothes, the different shoes. I also have one thing — I want to build a crib."
Kristen Doute reveals the parenting advice she received from Scheana Shay and Brittany Cartwright
Once Kristen began telling her friends and family about her pregnancy, she got one common piece of advice: Nobody knows what they're doing when they first become parents.
"All of my friends who are parents have told me that as of late," Kristen said on her podcast. "Like Scheana [Shay], Brittany, all the girls have said, 'It's OK to just be like 'I have no idea what the hell I'm doing because you're not gonna know what the hell you're doing until you start doing it, and then it's going to be fun.'"
Kristen Doute opens up about her IUI journey
The 41-year-old has been candid with her fans and followers about using intrauterine insemination to conceive her first child after experiencing a pregnancy loss in 2023.
After highlighting her visit to a fertility specialist on Instagram in September, Kristen opened up about the experience on her podcast. "It was pretty freaking miserable because it's just really hard on your brain and your body, and you're like, 'Ah, I'm not used to all of this stuff and just making me feel a little crazier than normal,'" Kristen said about doing hormone injections leading up to the insemination.
"I went to Vegas the next day, which was really weird. But, I treated my body like I was pregnant. I just faked that I was raging and partying," she continued. "That was just the beginning of everything. I was really, really excited, but I was also super nervous."
When is Kristen Doute's due date?
The former SUR waitress is due in June 2025.
"Our due date is in June and we are really looking forward to expanding our little family and becoming parents!" she told PEOPLE in November.
