Kim Zolciak Talks Parenting Amid Divorce from Kroy Biermann
The RHOA alum also shared how she spent Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day came just under a week after news broke that Don’t Be Tardy’s Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her husband of 11 years, Kroy Biermann, are getting a divorce. However, Kim still seemed to be in high spirits as she celebrated Mother’s Day with her kids on Sunday, May 14.
Kim Zolciak’s Mother’s Day Celebrations
Kim posted several Instagram Stories to document the day’s events, one of which was a video showing her en route to a “Mother’s Day dinner.” She laughed at the fact that she “threw on” a denim jumpsuit she had just worn “the other day,” before adding, “No biggie, right?”
In another video, Kim shared a sweet Mother’s Day message. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there,” she said. “Sending love to all the ones that have lost their mom. Sending love to dads that are also moms.”
Kim, as fans may recall, shares four children with Kroy: 11-year-old Kroy Jagger “KJ”, 10-year-old Kash Kade, and 9-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren. Kroy is also the adopted father to Kim’s daughters Brielle and Ariana, who took on his last name during the legal process in 2013.
On Sunday, Kim’s eldest daughters made sure to share their own Mother’s Day posts to Instagram. “Happy Mother’s Day to the world[’s] best mom,” Brielle wrote alongside a photo of her and Kim on the beach. “I love you sooooo much.”
Kim reposted the Instagram Story, adding, “[I] love you more shugga.”
Ariana, meanwhile, shared two photos of herself and her mom to her Story. “I am so blessed to have you as my mom. You truly are the strongest woman I know,” she captioned the second snapshot after wishing her “best friend” a Happy Mother’s Day in the first. “Thank you for all you do. You are a one of a kind mom!!! I love you so much.”
Kim once again reposted her daughter’s story after adding a similar comment, which read, “I love you shugga!!”
Kim Zolciak’s Divorce Details
TMZ reported on May 8 that Kim and Kroy are divorcing. The split comes after 11 years of marriage. Kim and Kroy met in May 2010 at a charity event, as shown on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 3. They went on to get married in November 2011, and fans were able to get an inside look at the nuptials with Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding, which eventually became Don’t Be Tardy.
Kim Zolciak’s RHOA Return
The RHOA Season 15 trailer confirmed that Kim and her fellow Atlanta OGs DeShawn Snow and Lisa Wu are set to make cameos on upcoming episodes as well as Cynthia Bailey. Shereé Whitfield can even be seen singing a few bars from Kim’s infamous song (and the inspiration for the name of her RHOA spinoff), “Don’t Be Tardy.”
