Kenya Moore: Queen Bee NeNe's Time Has Passed
The RHOA star also explains their "love-hate" relationship.
Did it just get shady in here?
The new season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta returns to Bravo on Sunday, and the stars of the show are already bringing the drama.
During an appearance on Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, Kenya Moore broke down what fans can expect this season. And she promises that fans will see her get vindication this time around.
"This season shows me in a different light," she said. "A lot of the lies that have been told about me come to light. You'll have to watch and see. [But] there were a flurry of [lies]. I've been called an alcoholic. I've been called bi-polar. I've been called a man-stealer—it's just been more than the usual. I was a target to a degree. People saw me as, 'Oh, we're going to take her down!'...This season shows a very different side."
As for her relationship with NeNe Leakes, Kenya describes it thusly: "We have a love-hate relationship. I love her. She hates me. That's just how it is."
But that doesn't mean she's going to bow down to the only original cast member from Season 1. "She was [the Queen bee] and her time is passing," Kenya said. "That's an issue for her. Honey, it's a new day."
There isn't just drama between her and the Atlanta 'Wives. Kenya is also set to compete with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville on NBC's next season of the Apprentice. And after Brandi dissed Kenya in an interview Tuesday—she called her "pure evil"—Kenya has some words for her competitor: "I can't do anything for Brandi," she says. "I don't have penicillin and I'm not a psychiatrist."
