Vicki Gunvalson Sets the Record Straight on Her Part in the Kelly Dodd Rumors

Rumors are always swirling around the OC, and the gossip spilled in Tuesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County was some of the most shocking ever.

Amid her drama with Kelly Dodd, Vicki Gunvalson claimed while out to dinner with Tamra Judge, Shannon Storms Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Braunwyn Windham-Burke that she's got even more info on her former friend. "Kelly knows that I know more than I've said," Vicki said.

After Tamra asked if Vicki was referring to one rumor in particular, the ladies discussed the gossip among themselves on their way out of the restaurant and vowed to never speak of it to Kelly or anyone else. But that's not exactly how things turned out, as we saw later on in the episode (clip above).

Vicki clarified her part in the drama during an interview with The Daily Dish prior to Tuesday night's episode airing. "Let me make this perfectly clear: I did not spread the rumor NOR did I repeat it to anyone," she explained. "It came from a source close to Kelly. Maybe she should talk to the person who it originally came from."

Vicki said that she originally heard the rumors from "a close friend of Kelly’s" who claimed he was an eyewitness while she was out to dinner with Shannon last summer. "Due to such damaging information, I decided not to discuss it with anyone and I didn’t. I had no idea he was going to share this information, and quite frankly I wish he would have kept it to himself," Vicki recalled. "This is between him and Kelly. I never told anyone else about it."

In Vicki's opinion, Kelly should really be addressing the issue with whom it originated. Vicki also said her aim in mentioning that she had more info on Kelly at that dinner with the group was in an effort "to demonstrate that I could say things that are not flattering about Kelly, but I have chosen not to." However, Vicki noted that she feels like Kelly "continues to lash out at me through the media."

All in all, Vicki said that she's not happy with how these rumors have come to take on a life of their own this season. "I don’t like it, and it makes me very uncomfortable," she shared. "We are supposed to be there for one another and help each other through life’s ups and downs — NOT create them."

As for all of the shifts in friendships that we've already seen so far this season of RHOC, the OG isn't fazed by any of it. "After 14 seasons on RHOC, nothing surprises me anymore," she said. "I’m sure what you see now will be different by the end of the season."
