Kelly Bensimon Calls Off Engagement Four Days Before Wedding: Read Her Statement
In a statement, RHONY alum Kelly Bensimon shared why she "won't be moving forward with this wedding."
Kelly Killoren Bensimon has ended her engagement to businessman Scott Litner just days before the two were scheduled to get married in Boston.
The Real Housewives of New York City alum confirmed the news in a statement to Page Six on June 25, citing her desire to focus on her adult daughters, Sea and Teddy (who she shares with ex-husband Gilles Bensimon), as the reason for the split.
“I have decided that my two daughters are my priority and I won’t be moving forward with this wedding,” she shared with the outlet.
In an effort to "put an end" to further speculation about her decision, Kelly told PEOPLE that she also "refused to marry" Scott because "He refused to sign a prenuptial agreement."

When was Kelly Bensimon's wedding?
The pair was set to get married in Scott's mother's backyard in the Boston area on Saturday, June 29. According to Page Six, Kelly called off the wedding on June 25, the same day that she was scheduled to pick up her three wedding dresses from Kleinfeld's.
Kelly previously told Page Six Style that she was planning on having two wedding ceremonies with Scott. The first was going to be the intimate one in Boston, and the second was going to be a bigger celebration with friends in the Hamptons.
“Why have one when you can have two?” she told the outlet. “When this first started I was like, I’m going to be so relaxed about this. I’m going to be like, the coolest bride ever.’ But then I started doing it. At this point, I think I might just become a total bridezilla! I just think I could really wear those shoes well.”

Just days before canceling the nuptials, Kelly took a girls trip with her kids to Jamaica.
"Beautiful vacation..." she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post commemorating the getaway.

Scott, who has been married twice before and has three children, proposed to the real estate agent over Fourth of July weekend in 2023 after about a year of dating.
"I never thought that I could be so happy at this stage in my life, this is truly a new beginning," Kelly told E! News about her engagement. "We have a romance that people write novels about."
