Katie and Ariana Show Their Sandwich Menu Progress — and Lala, James, and Lisa Have Thoughts
Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix reveal the inspiration behind Something About Her menu items.
Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney are fine-tuning the menu for their long-awaited sandwich shop, Something About Her, and their Vanderpump Rules castmates are weighing in with their very honest thoughts.
Some of the cast first got a taste of what's to come at Something About Her during an event that was seen on Season 10, Episode 14. More recently, on Season 11, Episode 9, Katie and Ariana once again invited their friends to sample the food and see the eatery's beautiful new look.
"The last time anyone has stepped foot into Something About Her, it was just a blank slate, and now it's just this beautiful, feminine, elegant sandwich shop," Katie said in an interview during the episode, which aired on March 26. "I love it. I'm obsessed with it. It's something out of a rom-com movie."
Although Katie explained, "Progress on the shop has been halted due to some permitting issues," Ariana chimed in, "Other areas that we've been making improvements, we do have a really lovely sandwich menu."

What is on the menu for Something About Her Sandwich Shop?
As seen during the episode, that menu includes a Caprese sandwich, a "Greek Goddess" sandwich (which has Persian cucumbers, Boursin cheese, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, and pickled red onion), a Soppressata sandwich, and another with brie and prosciutto.
When Tom Schwartz arrived, he was immediately impressed with the setup. "It looks so good," he said. "Holy sh-t." When they sat down to eat, Ally Lewber declared, "That's so good."

While Lala Kent also enjoyed the food, she was a bit confused as to why they were attending another tasting.
"Why are we doing this again?" she said. "We did this last summer. The soppressata? Had that last summer. "
James Kennedy shared a similar sentiment: "I had very high hopes for the girls in the beginning of this whole sandwich endeavor, but you know, as the weeks turn into months and the months turn into more months, there's not much difference between Ariana and Katie's sandwich shop and...Schwartz and Sandy's is there?"
Lisa Vanderpump later tried the sandwiches at SUR, and while she raved they were "really good," she also had concerns about the delayed opening. "I can't believe that sandwich shop is still not open," she said in an interview. "They signed the lease over a year ago, and the money they spent on the place, it costs a fortune to have a space that's empty. And sandwiches? They've got to sell a sh-tload. They need to start right now."
