Kathy Wakile Reveals If Being On RHONJ Changed Her Marriage: "We Made a Promise"
The RHONJ alum reflects on the secrets to her marriage with Rich Wakile.
Kathy Wakile has been married for decades to Rich Wakile. In fact, the couple had already been seasoned in the art of matrimony when she joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey. During her time on the show, she showed not only her home life with Rich and their two kids, Victoria and Joseph, but also her many ups and downs with her cousins and fellow cast members, Teresa Giudice, Joe Gorga, and Melissa Gorga.
In a recent interview with Bravo Insider's Life After Bravo, Kathy shared what her marriage with Rich was like when she joined the series. "A lot of times, Rich and I bicker. We just bicker. We're married almost 30 years," she said, noting that she was aware that the public could then perceive their relationship however they wanted. So, they "made a promise" about how they would navigate all that, as well how their kids would react to the attention, when she joined the show, which you can check out more about in the video above.
As fans will recall, Kathy started making appearances in Season 2, joined as cast in Seasons 3 through 5, and again made appearances in Seasons 6 and 7. She hasn't appeared on the series since Season 7. Throughout that time, her kids grew up on camera and, she says, she took steps to make sure they didn't lose sight of who they were.
