Kathy Wakile's "Yard Work" at Her New House Isn't Going as Planned: "What the Heck?" (VIDEO)

We have some video proof that The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Kathy Wakile and her husband Rich Wakile aren't afraid to put in the work themselves at home. Recently, Kathy posted a video of her and her husband (well, mostly her husband) doing some yard work at her gorgeous New Jersey property (and it appears to be the new lakefront property they recently purchased, more on that later).

Rich can be seen wearing a fanny pack slung over his shoulder, in the video posted to her Instagram feed, standing outside of their new home, stripped to its foundation. While the couple have not yet begun the renovations on their lakefront house, they have been working on clearing the land, which is what Rich at least attempted to do.

"Look at this guy," Kathy said into the camera while Rich attempted to cut a tree in half. "He's actually getting some work done."

After pointing out that a tree in their yard could be made into their next Christmas tree, he climbed on top of a dumpster to pull the sawed-in-half tree away from it. "What the heck," Kathy said. "What are you doing?"

But, Rich had some difficulty pulling the tree down. "My f-cking man purse getting in the way!" Rich exclaimed while Kathy laughed.

Inside Kathy Wakile's move to Melissa Gorga's neighborhood

ICYMI, Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga have some brand new neighbors in the Wakiles, who happen to be Joe's cousin... and Melissa has some thoughts about her moving into the neighborhood.

During an appearance on Jeff Lewis Live in late June, Melissa revealed that Kathy and Rich purchased property in their same neighborhood. "She and Richie just bought the lot across the street from me, and they are building a house diagonally from me, across the street," she said. 

Although the cousins no longer have a relationship with one another, Melissa said that she was hopeful they could run into one another. "I secretly hope Joe and Kathy are like, walking down the street one day, and like, bump into one another," she said. "Because at the end of the day, Kathy's a good person."

However, during a surprise appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 14, Kathy revealed that their houses aren't exactly across the street from one another. "Not to be boastful, but each property is at least an acre to two acres," she explained. "You know, so you really don't see each other."

"I've had my eye on that house forever," Kathy noted about the property. 

Later, Melissa responded to her comments on her On Display podcast: “I felt like she had a little negative [attitude] when asked about us, She mentioned something like, ‘Well, there’s acres, these houses are on acres, so we probably won’t see them anyway.’ I was a little taken aback.”
