Kameron Westcott Speaks out on Her "Trash" Comment to Brandi Redmond
"If you're gonna have trashy behavior, I am gonna call you out on it," the RHOD mom said.
What happens in Mexico doesn't stay in Mexico for The Real Housewives of Dallas crew.
Some of the biggest drama of the girls' trip involved Brandi Redmond and Kameron Westcott. During their argument over the roommate situation at Kary Brittingham's vacation home, Brandi used the F word, which caused Kameron to toss a napkin at her and say, "That was trash."
The good news is that Brandi and Kameron actually had a heart-to-heart and made up before the vacay was over. The bad news is that when all the ladies returned to the Lone Star State, Kameron's comment still wasn't sitting right with Stephanie Hollman, who confronted her about it at LeeAnne Locken's lingerie shower in Wednesday night's episode. Their conversation ended with Kameron walking out on Stephanie. So no, it did not go well.
Since then, Kameron has realized that she was in the wrong for how she handled things with Brandi that night in Mexico. "I don't regret throwing [the napkin] in her face. Obviously, it was very bad behavior," she said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Wednesday night (clip above). "I should not have done that. I apologized."
But when it comes to making that "trash" comment, it sounds like Kameron is sorry not sorry? "You know, at the same time though, if you're gonna have trashy behavior, I am gonna call you out on it. When someone gets in my face and says 'eff you' and tells me to 'go suck a dick,' I mean, yeah, I'm gonna defend myself," she explained. "Then again, I should probably use a different word next time though, but don't do trashy behavior."
Andy Cohen then pointed out that was "a rollercoaster" of a response from Kameron.
Sure was!
But hearing the word "trash" really hit a nerve with Brandi, as we saw during their trip to Mexico. "It stems from my childhood, and I grew up in a military family, and we didn't have the finer things in life. I lived in a trailer in a trailer park," Brandi explained during an emotional interview with The Daily Dish in September. "I remember feeling like people didn't want to invite me over because I was less than. What's sad about it is I can remember those feelings, and I've always thought that Kameron thought less of [me], like I always have felt that from her. And it wasn't the first time. She's done it several times. I think I had a breaking point."
