Go Inside Josh Flagg's Island Getaway with His Boyfriend, Kelton: "This Is Paradise"
The MDLLA agent headed to Maui alongside his beau and several close friends.
Josh Flagg is closing out 2024 in “paradise.”
Fresh off his $11 million real estate win, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent packed his bags and headed to Hawaii with his boyfriend, Kelton Hovland. Josh provided several peeks at the getaway via Instagram on Saturday (December 28), beginning with an amusing post about the not-so-desirable weather conditions.
Josh Flagg shares a peek at his and Kelton's Hawaiian vacation
The video was taken at the Four Seasons Resort Maui-Wailea while Josh lounged on the pool deck. The initial shot captured dozens of palm trees blowing in the wind against a gray, cloudy sky. Josh then turned the camera to his left side as a man quickly closed a patio umbrella before it blew away.
“Well this is paradise,” Josh sarcastically captioned the Story.
As shown in Josh’s subsequent post, the winds had significantly calmed by the evening, allowing him, Kelton, and several of their friends to enjoy an outdoor get-together. Josh posted a photo of him and the group sitting on the patio while enjoying some snacks and drinks as well as a card game.
Josh shares details on his new home and bi-coastal lifestyle with Kelton
The Hawaiian vacation came after a very eventful year for Josh — both in his career and personal life. It was just several months ago when the real estate broker/entrepreneur purchased a five-bedroom, four-bathroom home in the Trousdale Estates of Beverly Hills. He has spent the past several months updating the house (previously owned by singer-songwriter Charlie Puth) with personal touches, like adding art to the dining area and selecting textiles with Kelton.
Josh spoke about his new digs in a November interview with Estate Media’s The Real Talk, explaining why he was so drawn to the unique property.
“I never thought I’d buy a midcentury house, but it’s such a special house,” he said. “It was Charlie Puth’s house and I took a look at it and I was like, ‘I really, really like this house.’ I don’t know why, it’s not my vibe, but there’s something really special about it… So I started immediately thinking about resale, what I could do to change it.”
Josh said he planned to upgrade the home with extra square footage and would likely sell it in the next several years. He also confirmed he purchased properties in Florida as well as New York City, where he and Kelton live part-time.
“My boyfriend and I are in New York one week every month, we’re in LA three weeks a month,” he explained. “So, we have a place in New York… So, bi-coastal.”
Is Josh starting a real estate team in NYC?
Josh also shut down rumors he was starting a real estate team in the Big Apple; however, he previously expressed interest in getting his New York real estate license. He addressed the topic in a July interview with Us Weekly when he was asked about potentially moving his real estate business to the East Coast.
“I’ve always said no, because what I have in LA just works,” he said. “But if I’m going to be spending two weeks or at least 10 days a month in New York, I may as well get my license and just because I know so many people here, but it’s not like something I’m pursuing.”
