It's no secret that buying a house can be a stressful experience, but what about buying multiple houses and renovating a brand new office at the same time? Allow Josh Altman and Heather Altman to weigh in.

During Season 15, Episode 8 of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, the couple worked through some marital challenges related to their Orange County office renovation.

After confirming some of their hardware selections for the space, the pair took a second to chat alone, and talk budget.

"How much is this costing us? Is it in budget?" asked Josh. (The budget, by the way? $2,000,000.)

"It's really frustrating that you don't think that I would make sure we're within budget," answered Heather. "I didn't realize that my idea of coming down and expanding to Orange County was going to be such a struggle. You're down here half the week, some nights not coming home, and that's tough. And then me having to come down here, and when we're both down here at the same time, the guilt that I have with the kids."

While Josh ultimately understood his wife's points ("every day is a grind," he said), he noted in a confessional that he has no plans of slowing down.

When the bid for appliances came in — a whopping $465,798 — they decided to ultimately go ahead, but not before Heather told Josh that he was giving her an "ulcer."

Heather Altman explains the challenges of The Altman Brothers OC office renovation

According to Heather, the OC office was a much bigger project than she originally anticipated.

"When Josh and I first thought of opening up in Orange County, I never thought that we were going to have a space that we had to completely gut and basically build from the ground up," she said. "So now I have to source everything: the furniture, the decor, the finishes, the appliances. Not to mention I'm running the Altman Brothers — it just does not end."

The realtor explained that while she is in charge of decisions, her husband is opinionated and has a lot of ideas.

"But then when he sees the build he's yelling at me that we're overspending, 'How much is this going to cost me?''" she added.

In his own confessional, Josh called the situation "uncomfortable" and said that he's been cutting checks "like a f-cking bank."

Earlier in the episode, Heather touched on how hard keeping up with her lifestyle had been.

"When Josh and I decided to move forward with opening the office in Orange County, we thought 'this is going to be an incredibly easy journey overall.' And it's so much more difficult than I ever imagined. I have never been this pulled in so many different directions, like if you pull me any more the rubber band is going to snap," she said in a confessional. "It's just been really tough, and I'm starting to crumble."
