Jo Wenberg Says She’s “Getting a Lot of Hate” from Scheana Shay in Awkward Encounter

It looks like Scheana Shay isn't a fan of hats.

In a sneak peek of Vanderpump Rules, Season 11, Episode 9, Tom Schwartz brings his friend Jo Wenberg — or, as he calls her, Joseph — to a party attended by Scheana, Brock Davies, Ally Lewber, and James Kennedy. This situation spelled disaster — and led Jo to discuss her relationship with the Vanderpump Rules women.

For starters, Scheana is seemingly annoyed that Schwartz won't just say he's interested in Jo, who has admitted to being intimate with him in a past confessional. "Why are they acting like they're not dating?" she whispers to her friend.

If it wasn't awkward enough, when the hairstylist approaches Scheana, Ally, and their friend, they all call out the fact that she's wearing a baseball cap backward, covering up her neatly braided hair. 

"Can I ask why you're covering the braids with the hat?" Scheana says, to which Jo explains, "I'm just sweaty."

But Scheana continues to question the style choice, especially since Jo is a hairdresser. She insists, "Like, show off your work."

They then place the hat — a TomTom one, by the way — on the bar where Jo cannot reach it, which leads to an awkward moment where Jo reaches over Scheana's friend for the cap. With the hat now back on Jo's head, Scheana jokes, "I'm going to bully you. Take the f-cking hat off!"

Either way, Scheana says, "I really don't have a reason to like Jo."

Jo's Relationship with the Vanderpump Rules Cast

Scheana and the other cast members have apparently made it very clear that they do no trust Jo, who once lived with Schwartz at his Valley Village apartment. In a confessional, Jo says, "I've gotten a lot of hate from the girls."

In fact, she says that it's "100 percent bullying." 

Jo has previously called out Schwartz's ex-wife, Katie Maloney, for being cold toward her. However, Katie also felt that Jo crossed a few boundaries when she was in the process of divorcing Schwartz. Katie said in the Vanderpump Rules After Show that Jo apparently began messaging her about Schwartz, asking "weird" questions, like if he needed a haircut.

"She wouldn't just hit him up, she just kept hitting me up, and then next thing you know, it's like, she doesn't mind asking him to stay with him?" Katie shared. "That's a bigger ask than a haircut, at a really weird, kind of sensitive time when we're going through a divorce."
