Jennifer Pedranti Spills on Where She Stands with Her Ex-Husband: "There's Still Issues"
The RHOC mom finalized her divorce earlier this summer, shortly before her engagement to Ryan Boyajian.
Although she’s officially divorced, Jennifer Pedranti says she still feels “tethered” to her ex-husband.
It was less than a month ago when The Real Housewives of Orange County mom finalized her split with William “Will” Pedranti, a biotech executive with whom she shares five children. Jennifer said she was happy that the years-long court battle was finally over, but confirmed there were lingering issues between her and her ex.
“[The divorce] took four years, you guys — long time,” she said during a recent sitdown with Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap. “Unfortunately, I have no communication with my ex and so it’s hard. I’m so grateful that it’s finalized. I know people think, ‘OK, good. Here she goes.’ There’s still issues within it but we’re finalized and it was a long time coming.”

Jennifer Pedranti admits she & Ryan Boyajian struggled to "move forward"
Jennifer married Will in the summer of 2002 and reportedly called it quits about 18 years later. Shortly after the separation, the OC’ Wife began dating her current beau, Ryan Boyajian, who proposed to her back in April. Jennifer told Housewives Nightcap that her divorce will allow her and Ryan to take the next steps and hopefully improve her relationship with Will.
“You can’t get married when you’re still married,” she said with a laugh. “The divorce kind of needed to happen before marrying Ryan could happen. We’re both so happy. You know what it is for Ryan and I? It’s like being tethered still… There’s this tether to my ex-husband. And I feel for my ex-husband and I, maybe that’s one of the reasons we can’t heal and move forward… Maybe now we can all move forward.”
Jennifer Pedranti shares an update on her children
Jennifer also shared an update on her and Will’s kids: 20-year-old Harrison, 17-year-old Dawson, 14-year-old Greyson, 12-year-old Everleigh, and 10-year-old Dominic. She told the outlet that her family has been thriving since moving into Ryan’s OC home.
“The kids, gosh, they’re doing really good,” she said. “It’s so great as a mom because I know my kids with their dad, I know the relationship my kids have with their dad, and I see the relationship they have with Ryan… They’re different men.”
She also reflected on her family’s recent vacation to the Bahamas, which included Ryan’s two sons, 20-year-old Cole and 18-year-old Tyler, from a previous relationship. Jennifer recalled a special moment she had with Ryan shortly after her birthday.
“We were on a boat and we were just all having the most beautiful day,” she said. “We went out on the boat, we went out to this island and I told Ryan, I said, ‘I just watched my baby girl... On my birthday she wrote to me, she said, ‘Mom, you’re the strongest woman I know. I want to be just like you.’' And I’m telling you my kids are in a great spot.”
