Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward Reunite for Daughter Monroe's Graduation
Flipping Out's Jeff Lewis shared a rare photo with his ex on Instagram.
Jeff Lewis recently shared a rare photo of himself and ex Gage Edward on his Instagram — and it was for a momentous occasion.
The Flipping Out designer took to Instagram on June 17 to congratulate his 4-year-old daughter, Monroe, on her graduation this week. The photo showed Monroe looking ever-so-sweet in a green floral dress and a pearl necklace happily holding her diploma with proud dads Jeff and Gage looking all smiles as they stand by her side. "Congrats to the graduate," Jeff gushed in the caption to the post, before including a bit of his signature sense of humor in his message, writing, "The hardest years are behind you."
Gage also sent some kind words to Jeff in the comments section of his Instagram post. "Good job, Dad," Gage wrote, along with an applause emoji.
Gage shared another adorable photo of himself and Monroe from the big day on his Instagram, simply captioning the daddy-daughter pic with a graduation cap emoji.
This family reunion comes nearly a month after Jeff announced on his SiriusXM radio show that he and Gage had "settled our custody agreement," PEOPLE reported in May. The agreement was 26 months in the making, according to Jeff, who has been candid about the ups and downs of co-parenting with Gage on Jeff Lewis Live since they ended their relationship in early 2019 after a decade together.
Jeff called the latest development "wonderful news" on his radio show and went on to share how things were going between him and Gage at the time. "We've been getting along really, really well, we've been spending a lot of time with her, together. It's been good, she's really happy," he said. "She's pretty much giddy when we're together."
Gage was similarly hopeful about moving forward with his ex, telling PEOPLE in February, "I think Jeff and I have started to heal from what has happened in our past." "Our most important focus is raising our daughter in a loving environment and we are learning how to co-parent as effectively as we both can for her sake," Gage added. "I am optimistic."
