How will the Vanderpump Rules couple move forward with the group after that explosive Season 7 reunion?

Jax Taylor Faces Off With James Kennedy at the Vanderpump Rules Reunion

If James Kennedy was looking to repair friendships that had become strained this season of Vanderpump Rules during the Season 7 reunion, well, that didn't exactly work out for him. After clashing with just about everyone in the Vanderpump Rules crew during the reunion, James seemed to be majorly on the outs with the group.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

One of the most heated moments for James came when things almost got physical for him and Jax Taylor (clip above). Luckily, it didn't come to that, thanks to Andy Cohen, who kept things under control by keeping these guys apart. And after Jax had some time to cool off and reflect on the moment, he even showed remorse for his actions.

"I apologized," Jax said during a recent interview with ET. "You know, you get into these reunions, you haven't seen any of these people in a long time, you got pent up aggression or whatever, and sometimes you say things you don't mean or you say things you do mean, but it was taken a little bit out of context. I apologized. It is what it is."

Jax went on to explain why he got so upset with James in that moment, which erupted as they discussed a tweet the DJ had posted referencing Jax's late father. "Any time anybody mentions my father, good or bad, I get emotional and I see red," Jax explained. "So, that's just gonna be like that for a while, even if you're my friend or if you're my enemy, it's just gonna be that way."

Brittany Cartwright admitted during the same interview with ET that her "claws come out" when others talk about her family as well, which is why she also blew up at James after he made comments about her loved ones at the reunion.

But unlike Jax, Brittany still seems to be pretty fired up about James' behavior since the reunion. "I'm not gonna let him affect me as much as I did," she told ET. "We'll say that. I am mad about that. I'm mad that I let him get under my skin, because I normally can keep my cool and keep my calm."

So no, James and Raquel have not been invited to Jax and Brittany's wedding, and it's likely going to stay that way after all their reunion drama.

James may have lost his job at SUR and most of his friendships among the Vanderpump Rules squad, but it doesn't seem like any of that has fazed the DJ. He said he's just focused on the future at the end of the reunion. "I'm working on music, traveling America, DJ-ing, you know, I've got a lot that I'm working on right now," he said. "So I've got high, high hopes."
