James Kennedy Shares a Surprising Update on His Friendship with Jax Taylor and Weighs in on The Valley

To say that Jax Taylor and James Kennedy have experienced their fair share of ups and downs since the latter joined Vanderpump Rules during Season 3 would be a major understatement.
Are the two still frenemies today, though?
James answered this question during his February 13 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The update comes just before Jax is set to make his reality TV return on The Valley, a new Bravo series that follows "a group of close friends as they trade bottle service in West Hollywood for baby bottles in the Valley all while they navigate bustling businesses, rocky relationships and feisty friendships," according to a press release.

James Kennedy and Jax Taylor's Friendship Status in 2024
On WWHL, James was asked the following question by a viewer: "James, what do you think about Jax coming back on TV with The Valley, and what's your relationship like with him now?"
Responded James, "It's good, It's good. I'm excited for him. He seems, like, stoked. And yeah, our relationship's good."
They even have one major thing in common, James noted. "We're both Valley boys now," he said of their shared neighborhood. "He lives 10 minutes away, Jaxy boy."
Jax, for his part, shared a similar sentiment regarding where he stands with James back in December 2023. At the time, he shared a post on Instagram with the ominous caption, "I am back…..and it’s only the beginning," along with a hashtag that serves as a nod to his time on Vanderpump Rules, which read, "number one guy in the group."
In the comments section, a fan mentioned James' name. Jax then revealed that he is currently on good terms with the DJ.
"I love James...." Jax wrote in response to the fan. "He has the most sense on the show if you ask me."

Ahead of The Valley's spring 2024 premiere, a press release for the new show shared some insight into Jax's life today with his wife, Brittany Cartwright.
Per the couple's official bios for The Valley, "Jax and Brittany went from clubbing every night with their friends to watching cartoons every morning with their toddler, Cruz, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. While Jax used to proclaim he never wanted to settle down and have kids, that all changed when he met the love of his life, Brittany. Far away from their relatives in Kentucky and Florida, Jax and Brittany call the Valley home and have made friends their family. Now married for more than four years, the couple is often the voice of reason and the glue that holds the group together."
