Kelly Bensimon had an exciting relationship update earlier this year.
Real estate agent and The Real Housewives of New York City alum Kelly Killoren Bensimon is officially off the market.
Kelly — who also appears in Peacock’s Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy premiering Dec. 14 — is happily engaged to financier Scott Litner, but that doesn't mean the couple is in a rush down the aisle.
The model dished in an interview with Parade at BravoCon 2023 that she isn’t the “typical bride.”
“You have the bridezillas, and I’m just very laid back,” she said. “Even my fiancé is like, 'When are we getting married?' And I was like, 'Oh, I don't know.’”

When did Kelly Bensimon get engaged?
Scott popped the question to Kelly over the Fourth of July 2023 as they vacationed in one of her favorite childhood spots: Geneva, Wisconsin. "I was so moved that he brought me to a special place from my childhood to propose,” she later told E! Online.
While reflecting on the proposal, Kelly told US Weekly she was “totally not prepared” for her boyfriend to ask for her hand in marriage.
“We hopped on a boat and I was driving him around [my hometown] and he was like, ‘Go to your favorite spot,’” Kelly recalled. “Then he asked me to marry him. I [was in] a pink bikini … totally not prepared. … It was very real and I think that there’s a lot of these weddings and proposals which are really Instagrammable and beautiful … but it was just very genuine.”
Kelly has gushed that the romance with the financier and father of three is the stuff dreams are made of.
"I never thought that I could be so happy at this stage in my life, this is truly a new beginning," she told E! Online. "We have a romance that people write novels about."
When is RHONY’s Kelly Bensimon getting married?
Kelly may be taking a laid-back approach to her wedding planning, but she insisted to Parade in November 2023 that she was “working on it.”
"I'm like, 'We'll get to it,' and he's like, 'No, no, no, we need to get to it now!'" she said of her eager fiancé. "I'm like, OK, 'I'm working on it.' So I'm working on it.”
Who was Kelly Kiloreen Bensimon’s first husband?
Whenever the busy bride does get to planning, it won’t be the first time she’s walked down the aisle.
Kelly married famed fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon in 1997 and welcomed daughters Sea and Teddy, before they divorced in 2007, just before her stint on RHONY began.
“Do I regret being divorced? Absolutely,” she once told HollywoodLife.com in 2011. “Am I happy in this position that I am today? Yes.”
“Divorce isn’t a good thing,” she continued. “It’s not good for either party, it’s not good for anyone that’s involved — friends, family, children.”
But today, Kelly is looking toward the future with her now-adult daughters and soon-to-be extended family, including Scott’s three sons from a previous relationship.
“I mean we’ve got all these kids of different ages so it’s going to be fun,” she told US Weekly. “I was thinking because my oldest daughter is 25 so by the time she starts having kids, we’re going to have grandkids. It’s just going to be like nonstop.”
