Lisa Nicole Cloud Updates Fans on the Status of Her Marriage to Dr. Darren Naugles

Lisa Nicole Cloud has returned to Married to Medicine this season after last appearing in Season 4. However, we haven't seen the man who was always right by Lisa Nicole's side during her initial time on the show: her husband, Dr. Darren Naugles.

So, of course, we've been wondering about the status of Lisa Nicole and Dr. Darren's relationship — and we're not the only ones. When The Real Housewives of Potomac's Gizelle Bryant joined the Married to Medicine ladies for dinner during their trip to Washington, D.C. in the May 2 episode (clip above), she asked Lisa Nicole if she was still married.

Lisa Nicole confirmed that she and Dr. Darren are still together. Gizelle then noted, "There were some issues there, right? It's all good?" Lisa Nicole gave the affirmative and even said that their marriage is "better" these days.

The Married to Medicine friend elaborated on her update on her relationship in a post on Instagram on May 3. "Tonight on @married2med @gizellebryant asked if I was still married and if Darren and I were still together despite our challenges. Here's your answer love," Lisa Nicole wrote in a post that featured a romantic black-and-white photo of herself and her husband. "Through the ups and downs, highs and lows, good times and bad, we are still together. To God be the glory." 

Lisa Nicole went on to share what she's "learned about love and marriage." "Marriage is amazing but it's one of the hardest relationships you will ever navigate. You learn to block out the noise of the world and hear God's voice and look to his word to find your peace," she wrote. "Love isn't always perfect. It isn't a fairytale or storybook. It doesn't always come easy. Love is patient. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go because marriage is til death do you part if you believe in the vows you speak the day you marry."

She ended the post by praising other couples who have worked through difficult moments in their marriage. "If both parties are willing to fight for it then love can win," Lisa Nicole said. "This post is to all the women who chose to stay when it would have been easier to walk away. Here's to your strength, perseverance, loyalty, spirit of forgiveness, love for your family and determination to not let the enemy have the victory."

Lisa Nicole previously reflected on her marriage in a post on Instagram celebrating the couple's 13th wedding anniversary in July 2020.

"Marriage is one of the most amazing yet most challenging relationships one chooses to be a part of. I can honestly say the sacred vows we took before God have truly been statements we've had to honor....For better or for worse, richer or for poorer, sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, [til] death do us part," she wrote. "Marriage is an amazing wonderful experience some times and other times it's a choice you make to make it work. Some choose to stay and make it work and sometimes people chose to walk away but ultimately it's a personal choice to be respected."

"We've had some amazing times and some challenging times but through it all we've learned to love deeper, become better friends, support each other and accept each other unconditionally," Lisa Nicole continued in the post. "I love you more than words and look forward to spending the rest of my life with YOU..... my crazy, silly, strong, god centered, amazing forever love. Happy Anniversary to us!"

Lisa Nicole also included several lovely hashtags at the end of her anniversary post, including "#darrenandlisaforever."

While we're giving updates, we'd also like to note that Lisa Nicole and Dr. Daren's children, son DJ and daughter Amira, are now teenagers and looking all grown up and adorable.
