Katie Maloney went down to Fiji back in July to appear alongside bestie Ariana Madix on an episode of Love Island USA's Aftersun, but did she actually find love herself when she was there?
After returning to Los Angeles, Katie was spotted out on a date with Season 6 islander, Connor Newsum. Unsurprisingly, the Vanderpump Rules cast member made headlines when she went out with the PR specialist, and she responded to all of the speculation on a recent episode of her podcast, Disrespectfully.
"Was I on a date?" Katie said to co-host Dayna Kathan on the August 7 episode about being spotted out with Connor. "I’m not going to deny anything."
After confirming that she did go out with the fellow LA resident, Katie refrained from sharing any other information about their connection. "I don’t think it’s fair to be yapping about it," she continued.
Dayna teased that she knew "the tea" about Connor and Katie, but that she also wouldn't be revealing anything more about it.
Who is Connor Newsum from Love Island USA Season 6?
The 28-year-old joined the Love Island USA villa as a bombshell at the end of the Season 6 premiere, and he soon made an impression on islanders Kaylor Martin, JaNa Craig, and Leah Kateb.
Connor initially coupled up with JaNa, but he formed a stronger connection with Leah after her romance with Robert "Rob" Rausch came to an end. When the guys were tasked with choosing women to couple up with, Connor chose Leah over JaNa (much to JaNa's initial disappointment).
However, his feelings for Leah were not reciprocated — and she soon told her closest pals that she had gotten "the ick" for him.
When it was time for the ladies to pick, Leah chose to couple up with Miguel Harichi, leaving Connor single. Just a few days later, Connor was dumped from the island. He soon returned to Los Angeles, which is where he went on his date with Katie.
Connor has yet to comment publicly on his potential romance with the Something About Her co-owner. Katie and Ariana also recently hired Love Island USA Season 2 alum (and Season 4 bombshell), Mackenzie Dipman, to be a manager at their sandwich shop. After her time on Love Island USA, Mackenzie briefly dated Summer House's Carl Radke.
