Jax Taylor may be separated from his wife, Brittany Cartwright, but don’t expect there to be any new woman in his life any time soon—or ever?
When asked about his romantic future, The Valley cast member dramatically vowed to The Daily Dish that he would “never date” again.
Is Jax Taylor dating someone new?
“I’m not dating,” he declared. “I’m not gonna ever date, no. Even if things don’t work out between Brittany and I, I will never ever date or get married again.”
Jax — a notorious ladies man during his Vanderpump Rules days — insisted he was “done” with playing the field and had no plans to ever re-enter the dating scene, instead choosing to focus on his son, Cruz.

“My little boy is the most important thing to me. I love him so much and I am getting emotional thinking about it. Um, no, no, no, no,” he insisted when asked whether he would ever change his mind about dating again.
Does Jax Taylor want to get back together with Brittany Cartwright?
It seems the charismatic bar owner still may be holding a candle for his wife and hoping to reconcile.
The two hit the White House Correspondents Dinner together on April 27 and spoke to E! News about their current relationship status on the red carpet.
While Brittany insisted they were still “very much separated,” Jax seemed to hint they may be making some progress in repairing their rift.
"Every week, it's changing," Jax told the outlet. "We're talking. We're eating dinner, we're going out for drinks. So, who knows? Do I want to be back together again? Of course I would, but, you know, we gotta see what's healthy for us and our son."
He acknowledged he needed some time to work on himself.
“I feel like I’m on the right track,” he said of his chances of winning back Brittany’s heart. “I was going through a lot of personal issues with myself and my mental health that needed a time out.”
And while Jax may have sworn off dating for the long haul,, Brittany was clearly more open to the idea.
"I feel like yeah, why not?" she said from the red carpet. "I'm 35. I know what I want. So, if we don't stay together, of course I'm going to date again."
Why did Jax and Brittany break up?
Although Jax is no stranger to a cheating scandal, he insisted no one has been unfaithful in the marriage — something Brittany herself has confirmed.
“I guess everyone thinks there’s infidelity between Brittany and I and it’s not,” he told The Daily Dish of what drove the couple apart. “It’s a communication thing. That’s the only thing, really.”
Fans of The Valley have seen the couple try to work through intimacy issues after Brittany tearfully admitted to her girlfriends that Jax doesn’t make her “feel attractive,” and expanded on the problems to producers, divulging that Jax can be “really hard” on her.
“He kind of puts me down a lot whether it’s about if I go out and have a girls night and don’t feel good the next day or the way I look,” she shared.
