We Have an Update on Frank Catania’s Relationship with His GF Brittany (PICS)
The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad shared an update on his relationship with Brittany Mattessich, and Dolores Catania weighed in.
Frank Catania is in love and he doesn’t care who knows it. The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad, who has remained on friendly terms with his ex-wife, Dolores Catania, is in a committed relationship with Brittany Mattessich. (Meanwhile, as RHONJ viewers know, Dolores is happily coupled up with Paul “Paulie” Connell, with whom she’s been “Instagram official” since 2022.)
Frank initially met Brittany over dumbbells. Fun fact: He used to train his now-girlfriend for fitness competitions more than a decade ago. For several years, Frank had an on-and-off relationship with Brittany. Things started heating up in May 2022, when Frank appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and brought Brittany to the Clubhouse for her Bravo introduction. “You know it’s serious then,” he joked.
Well, things seem to be as “serious” as ever. For Brittany’s birthday, Frank took to Instagram with a very public display of birthday love, and the post offered a peek into the state of their relationship.
Frank Catania calls Brittany Mattessich his “better half”
In the September 7 post, Frank shared a carousel of pictures featuring him and Brittany. In one snap, the couple playfully posed together at what appears to be Melissa and Joe Gorga’s Jersey Shore home. Other photos showed them laughing together and dressing up for date nights.
In his caption, Frank wrote: “Happy Birthday to my better half [Brittany] [and] the person in my life who has made me realize that it is a gift to be here [every day] [and] taught me how to have a [drama-free] life. The one person who is able to put a smile on my face no matter what the circumstance is. My love for you grows [every day] and [I] hope you have not only the most beautiful birthday but the most beautiful life in every way.”
Dolores hopped into the comments with a message of her own: “Have the best birthday ever,” she wrote, tacking on some red heart emojis. Dolo’s sweet birthday wishes aren’t out of the ordinary, as she has always shown support for Frank’s current relationship.
Earlier this year, Brittany opened up about her relationship with her beau’s ex-wife. “Dolores and I get along great, and she could not be any nicer to me,” she shared in an Instagram Story.
While talking to Page Six in 2022, Frank shared that his two adult kids, Frankie and Gabby, are also fond of his girlfriend. “Gabby says, ‘How do you not like Brittany? You can’t help but like Brittany!’” Frank said. “It’s not only my daughter; it’s the entire family. And Dolores too!”
