After dancing together, Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater have maintained a strong friendship.
The Agency founder, who is currently estranged from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards, formed a connection with the British-American pro dancer when they competed as partners on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars back in 2023.
Emma and Mauricio were ultimately the sixth couple to be eliminated on their season, but their bond has continued long after their time on the show concluded.

Early on in their partnership, Mauricio and Emma were photographed holding hands — something that Kyle wasn't exactly happy to see despite the fact that she was already separated from Mauricio at that point.
Kyle reacted to the pictures during the RHOBH Season 13 reunion. "It did not feel good," she admitted. "We are separated, we’re allowed to do what we want, each of us.[But] it’s weird because we live together in the same house. So it’s sort of like ‘What are you doing?'"
Despite being subject to romance rumors, Mauricio and Emma continue to maintain that their relationship is simply platonic.

When Emma went on tour for DWTS, Mauricio attended one of the shows. Emma posted a sweet photo of the two embracing backstage on Instagram to commemorate Mauricio's visit.
In the caption, she noted that she was "so happy to see him" and that she was “super grateful that [they] were partnered on the show."
"if you met him you already know he’s just the best," she continued, adding that he "stole the show just by being in the audience."

About six months after their elimination, Emma shared why she bonded so deeply with Mauricio.
"We sort of went through difficult times at the same time together and were each other’s confidants," she told Us Weekly in May 2024 about how she related to Mauricio's separation (she split from fellow pro dancer Sasha Farber in 2022). "It was a really nice season. Difficult for both of us, but we’re really, really grateful that we had each other."
She also expressed why she thinks that Mauricio will be a forever friend.
"I really think that Mauricio is someone who’s going to be in my life forever," she added. "We really do click."
Emma Slater pays tribute to Mauricio Umansky on his 54th birthday
When the dad of four celebrated his 54th birthday on June 25, 2024, Emma shared an emotional post for her former dance partner on Instagram.
"Legend!!! [Mauricio Umansky]," she captioned the shot. "Happy birthday."
In another photo, which also featured internet personality Lele Pons, Emma shared her "love" for Mauricio.
"Happy birthday [Mauricio Umansky]!!!!!! And happy birthday [Lele Pons]! Can't believe I have this photo of you both and that it's also my half birthday today," she wrote along with three crying laughing emojis. "So funny!! Love you both!"
