How Heather and Terry Dubrow Had "Too Much Fun" Celebrating the 27th Anniversary of Their First (Blind!) Date

Nearly 30 years after their first blind date, Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow are still making memories. The Real Housewives of Orange County couple recently celebrated the 27th anniversary of their first get-together, and they had tons of fun while doing it.
In case you missed it, the Orange County parents were initially set up by mutual friends. Heather recounted her meet-cute with Terry during a 2015 episode of her Heather Dubrow's World podcast. Here's how the story goes: When Heather was 27 years old, she asked her friend's boyfriend, who was a transplant surgeon, if he knew any Jewish doctors he could introduce her to. Shortly thereafter, Heather found herself on a double date meeting Terry for the first time. "He wasn't really my type, but you know, I was like, 'We'll see,'" Heather said during the podcast.
As it turns out, Terry was more than Heather's type: He was the one she'd raise four beautiful children and live happily ever after with — and, have "too much fun" with.

In an Instagram post from December 11, Heather shared a sweet couple's photo and a few inspirational quotes about love. "Spent last weekend in Cabo celebrating the day [Terry] and I met on a blind date 27 years ago!" she wrote. "Though we didn’t know it at the time, it was the day that changed our trajectory…. Since I don’t have photos from the weekend (oops - was having way too much fun) enjoy this throwback picture!"
The champagne-lover added: "I’m also sharing a few quotes that resonate with me in hopes that they resonate with you too." One of the quotes read: "Nothing is hotter than consistent effort to keep the spark alive, not just start it."
Well, it looks like Heather and Terry are consistently doing just that.

Heather and Terry got married in 1999, approximately three years after their fated first date. On their 20-year wedding anniversary in June 2019, Heather shared a video from their wedding day.
"In some ways it feels so new and yet I can't remember my life before you,” Heather wrote in the caption alongside the 20th-anniversary Instagram post. “Terry, you are the love of my life, my best friend, my partner in crime, my mentor, my everything. Even though at times you can be a huge pain in the ass, narcissist — who watches himself on TV obsessively...I wouldn't trade you for anything or anyone on the planet.” She added blind dates work.
