On Wednesday, September 4, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles mom kicked off the new school year with an adorable back-to-school post featuring her 5-year-old son, Ace, and 7-year-old daughter, Lexi. Heather — who shares the kids with her husband, Josh Altman — celebrated the big day by decorating her kitchen with a back-to-school banner, honeycomb centerpieces, and an assortment of foil balloons shaped like stars, pencils, and a school bus.

See how Heather Altman celebrated back-to-school season: "So excited"

“Back to School for the Kids!” she captioned the carousel. “Ace started Kindergarten and Lexi is in 2nd. Time is flying by, they aren’t my little babies anymore. Love them so much and so excited to see what this year brings.”

The first slide showed little Ace sitting on the kitchen island surrounded by chocolate cupcakes, a Marvel backpack, and his first-day-of-school board. The latter featured a few get-to-know-me details, like his favorite colors (red, blue, and orange) and his favorite things (Avengers and Legos).

Fans got a look at some of Ace’s back-to-school outfits, which included a superhero graphic tee, black cargo shorts, and Jordan sneakers. His big sister, Lexi, also kicked off the semester in style, as she donned a checkered skirt with fun patches, a black crewneck tee, and ankle boots.

Other photos captured the Altman daughter sitting in the decorated kitchen while holding a giant pencil emblazoned with her name. Lexi also posed next to her first-day-of-school board, which revealed her dreams to become a real estate agent, just like her mom and dad.

Heather calls her daughter and son her "built-in besties"

Heather spoke about her family life in a recent interview with The Daily Dish, explaining how Lexi and Ace were taking after her and Josh.

“[Ace has] got that boy energy, he loves to beat up on his dad and he loves to be the sweetest little gentleman with me, so he’s definitely going to be a ladies’ man,” Heather said. “He wants to be just like his daddy. He calls himself a real estate-r and dresses up in suits and it’s super cute.”

Heather also suggested that Lexi had inherited her love of fashion.

“Lexi is 7 now and got her ears pierced and [is] a little fashionista putting together her outfits,” the MDLLA mom said. “She wears high heels occasionally, and she is just turning into this sweet, cute, little independent lady… It’s really fun to have these little adults now that want to go out to dinner with us. Before it was like, ‘I don’t want to go to dinner,’ so it’s cute. We’ve got these little built-in besties now that do stuff we like to do.”
