Heather Altman Opens Up About Feeling “Pressure” from Josh: “Most Challenging Year”

Heather opened up to fellow MDLLA real estate agent Tracy Tutor about going through a "really stressful" time in her marriage.

By Sophie Vilensky

Things aren't always sunny in Los Angeles. Or Orange County, for that matter. Heather Altman — who has been spending plenty of time in both places — can attest.

How to Watch

Watch Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles on Bravo Wednesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

While showing up to tour one of Tracy Tutor's listings during Season 15, Episode 6 of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Heather put work aside for a moment to chat with Tracy about her personal life (including her marriage to Josh Altman).

"Josh and I are both addicted to work. But he has a serious sickness where he has to say yes and take on every single listing, every client, every business opportunity," Heather said. "I've just been a ball of emotions and he's putting the pressure on me. I'm balancing work and mommy-hood. It's really stressful."

Heather Altman Opens Up About the Challenges of Working in Orange County

"This has probably been one of the most challenging years of my life," Heather explained in the episode after Tracy asked her how she was doing. As for what was adding to the stress? The opening of a new Orange County office for The Altman Brothers Team.

"Orange County is going to be done probably in three months. It's not that far away. It's just hard to do everything," she added. "That means we have to be there, be present in Orange County, even more. Oh God, it's tough."

Outside of work, Heather was also dealing with family troubles.

"Lexi started first grade this year and it's been awful," she explained. "Like, this morning Josh had to pull her out of my arms and she was crying and I was being strong and then as soon as they walk out the door I'm sobbing. And then I have to get ready to go show houses or drive down to Orange County. I'm spread so thin and now I'm regretting telling Josh we should open up an Orange County office down there. What was I thinking?"

The good news? Things are looking a bit brighter nowadays. Heather opened up about how she dealt with her stressful year during a June 2024 interview with The Daily Dish — and how she's doing now.

"It finally took over me, and I had a moment, a big realization of, ‘Hey we can’t keep going at the rate that we’re going. It’s not physically possible and it’s not fun anymore, and I want to enjoy life,'" she explained. "So we had an epiphany and had a good heart-to-heart, and we’re on the same page now [that] we’ve grown this company to where we want it right now. We don’t need to be opening more offices, and we also don’t need to be collecting more real estate at the moment [where] I need to manage construction sites."
