Lisa Vanderpump Reveals Whether She Reached Out to Kyle Richards After Her Separation

Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump were once as thick as thieves — but times have changed. In recent years, the Vanderpump Rules boss and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members have gone their separate ways.
However, at BravoCon 2023, Lisa had some kind things to say about Kyle, in light of the latter's ongoing separation from Mauricio Umansky. Speaking to E! News about Kyle and Mauricio's split, Lisa said back in November 2023, "I feel empathy for the fact that it was a union that was very special. And she loved him; I know they loved each other very much."

In a recent interview on Today With Hoda and Jenna, the hospitality mogul was asked about a possible rekindling of her friendship with Kyle. "I think that ship has sailed,” Lisa replied. “I think she knows how I feel. I’ve been very honest about that.”
However, Lisa doubled down on her compassion for her former friend. “I felt very sad for her because I know Kyle really held her marriage very close and near,” she said. “It was very, very important to her, and she always kinda gave the impression of everything being perfect whether it was or it wasn’t."
She added: “I think it’s a shame, I really do. I hope they find their way back to each other.”

Back at BravoCon, the SUR boss also had words of support for Kyle's daughters, Farrah Brittany (whom Kyle shares with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie), Alexia, Sophia, and Portia Umansky. As Lisa put it, "With four girls, [the separation] must be very, very difficult."
She added: "I've had my problems with [Kyle], but I just see it as more than that. I see it as a relationship I respected. And I've been married forever and a day, and relationships are hard to navigate."

Back in late 2023, Andy Cohen filled Kyle in on Lisa's message during BravoCon Live's "Dynamic Duos" episode, which aired Nov. 6, 2023. Reacting, Kyle said, "Well, I thought that was very sweet of her to say."
"She also has a long, successful marriage," she continued. "I still consider my marriage with Mauricio a success. We're still a love story. I love him very much."
