Travis Michalzik Thinks He Knows the Real Reason Hannah Ferrier Canceled Their Date on Below Deck Med

Love is in the air this season of Below Deck Mediterranean — or so we thought.

After agreeing to join Travis Michalzik on a double date with Aesha Scott and Jack Stirrup, Hannah Ferrier asked for a rain check after it seemed as though the deckhand had started the party a little bit too early, imbibing in some beer right before they went out. 

"I know people who've said they haven't been drinking and they have. I know you're drunk... To me I was like, why would you get drunk at 3 o'clock in the afternoon when you know you're going to dinner that night?" Hannah explained during the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4 After Show, which you can view, above. "If he had two beers in the afternoon, that's fine, but there's a big difference between that and being drunk. And I don't want to go out to have dinner with a drunk person. Like, unless we've been at a mimosa brunch and I'm drunk as well, I don't want to be hanging around you."

However, Travis said he doesn't believe that's really why Hannah decided to call it off, especially since, according to him, he "was super coherent" and "not dribbling on myself or any stupid s--t."

"To be honest, I think that Hannah probably just wanted to get out of it, and she saw a f--king opening," he said in the Below Deck After Show. "And she went, 'Yeah, cool, Trav is pissed. I'm gonna use that as an excuse.'"

This was good news to Aesha. "I was actually quite stoked because I was like, I don't really want to go on a double date. Like, if you're going to go on a date, it's because you're trying to get to know the person. And if Han and Trav came, we would just be having our same boat banter the whole time. You're not really learning about the other person," she said during the Below Deck Med After Show. "Hannah and I were so tight, they're so tight. I don't know. It would have just been like friends hanging out. It was actually great that Trav got that drunk. He can get drunk any time."

João Franco agreed that this was the best possible outcome for Aesha. "I think if they had gone out, Travis and Jack would have come home together though," he joked during the Below Deck Med After Show. "The girls would have come home together and those two would have come home about 3 a.m. — together. Obviously, Jack carrying Travis."
