Here's What Hannah Ferrier Has Been Up to Since Below Deck Mediterranean
The chief stewardess from Season 1 until Season 5 has led a full life since disembarking the ship.
When Below Deck Mediterranean became the second iteration of the Below Deck franchise in 2016, fans were introduced to the ship's chief steward: Hannah Ferrier.
“On boats, everyone thinks their job is the most important. But obviously it’s the chief stew,” the Australia native said during Season 1 Episode 1.
What was originally a sporadic European excursion eventually inspired Hannah to sell her possessions and pursue yachting — leading to almost a decade of experience before her dramatic exit from the show in Season 5.

What happened to Hannah Ferrier on Below Deck Mediterranean?
During Season 5 Episode 12, Hannah was let go after Captain Sandy Yawn discovered she had Valium onboard without a prescription present, violating maritime law.
“I personally don’t want to drive the boat to sea with how you’ve been lately,” Sandy told her.
After her firing, Hannah opened up about her experience as a chief stew.
"Honestly, it's so sad to me because it's five years of my life that I dedicated to this show. It changed and grew so much since Season 1 in Greece. I think just above anything I'm just really sad that it's ended that way," Hannah said in an interview with The Daily Dish before the episode featuring her dismissal aired in August 2020. "Obviously, it's just not a very nice way to end. But at the same time, I've had an outpouring of support from fans and things like that."

After leaving Below Deck Med, Hannah founded Ocean International Training Academy — an online course designed to help others jumpstart their yachting careers — with Below Deck's Anastasia Surmava.

"It's like the street smarts of yachting. So it really breaks it down for you, what the industry is actually like, what you can do at home before you even leave to go and join yachting that will help you on your CV, how to write a CV, where to go, what to do, what boat is right for you, what size is right for you, whether it's private or charter. It gets down to the nitty-gritty of yachting," Hannah told The Daily Dish during the aforementioned interview.

Hannah Ferrier's relationship with Josh Roberts started in Season 5
When Hannah returned to BDM for Season 5, she had a new — and quite mysterious — man in her life: Josh Roberts.
"So in between charter seasons, I went home to Australia, I met someone," she shared during Season 5 Episode 1. "And this is definitely the first relationship that I actually see some longevity and potentially getting married and making babies and having a family."
She later revealed how the pair met during a June 2020 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"We actually met in a bar in Sydney the day after I landed after filming Season 4," she said. "We kind of both flirted with each other, but I did let him know I just finished filming, so I was at 50 percent of my normal capability. So I'm surprised that alone didn't scare him off [laughs]."
They originally confirmed their engagement in November 2020, just weeks after welcoming their daughter and a couple years after they began dating.
Hannah and Josh tied the knot in a stunning Sydney, Australia ceremony in March 2022.
Who is Hannah Ferrier's husband Josh Roberts?
Originally from Scotland, Josh works in commercial real estate.
These days, the pair are happily married and share a sweet daughter, Ava.

Hannah and Josh welcomed their first child, daughter Ava Grace Roberts, in October 2020. "She is already a little menace that has captured our hearts forever," she wrote in an Instagram post announcing the baby's birth.
Prior to welcoming her daughter, Hannah told The Daily Dish how thrilled she was to become a mom.
"I absolutely cannot wait to meet her. A lot of people are like, 'Oh, I'm excited, but I'm also a little scared and nervous,'" she shared in August 2020. "I don't have any of that. I just want her here already."
Where does Hannah Ferrier live now?
Following BDM, Hannah moved back to Sydney, Australia with her husband, Josh, and daughter, Ava.
The family has since made a big move. Hannah revealed in July 2023 that they were temporarily relocating to the South of France.
“BIG NEWS,” she captioned an Instagram post with the news. “We’ve already had what feels like a lifetime of adventures together as a family but this one will [by] FAR be the biggest adventure of Ava’s life!! We are relocating to my second home in South of France for the next [four] months!!! There’s so many reasons we are doing this but the biggest by far is to create memories for our gorgeous family and show Ava Europe. She is growing up so so fast (I know you all told me this would happen!!) and we are ready to spread our wings and go and see what the world has to offer!!”
