The Summer House Season 4 virtual reunion was filled with tons of shocking reveals, but perhaps one of the most surprising takeaways was that Luke Gulbranson and Hannah Berner’s relationship had fizzled out after the summer. Hannah opened up about where she currently stands with Luke when she and Paige DeSorbo appeared as guests on The Daily Dish podcast.
During the reunion, Hannah and Luke explained that she did not go to Minnesota with him after the summer, and that they never ended up having sex. But there’s something that went down just before the cameras started rolling that is extremely telling of what their relationship looks like now.
“When the season aired, we got into some fights,” Hannah explained, noting that topics like “the Jelena thing” and the fact that Paige and Amanda got involved continued to bring up strong emotions months later. “At one point, I was like, don’t talk to me. During the season, we didn’t talk for two and a half weeks. We actually weren’t talking right before the reunion.”
Hannah then went on to reveal that although they were previously not on speaking terms, she and Luke resumed contact just before the reunion, and ended up having an argument.
“We had just gotten into a fight when the reunion happened,” Hannah said. “And then after the reunion, he called me and like, we’re still in just this kind of complicated place where like we love each other, we care for each other. We are very attracted to each other. But, it’s not in a place where I think either of us want to date. We’re always just treading in dangerous waters.”
