Candiace Dillard Bassett Spills Some Tea on Gizelle and Jamal Bryant
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member gives her honest opinion of the couple.
Gizelle Bryant is rekindling her relationship with ex-husband Jamal Bryant this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, and while viewers have gotten to see them share some romantic moments so far, Candiace Dillard Bassett is wondering when she and the rest of the RHOP squad will get a chance to get to know the special someone in Gizelle's life.
After her fellow Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home guest, Michael Rapaport, gave his take on Gizelle and Jamal, as well as Robyn and Juan Dixon, Candiace chimed in with some intel on how she and the Potomac Housewives have been feeling about both of the RHOP couples. "We as a group also know Robyn and Juan better than we know the Bryants. But, I mean, we have tried to get Jamal to come into the fold," Candiace said during the WWHL: @ Home After Show on September 20, joking that Gizelle has been "hiding" Jamal. "She won't bring him around the people. It's rude."
Robyn, who also got back together with her ex Juan after divorcing him, previously weighed in on Gizelle and Jamal's relationship during an interview with The Daily Dish podcast in August.
"You know, I would be the last person to judge anyone for getting back with their ex-husband,” Robyn shared. “So I’m definitely supportive. I was just really shocked, because she really, just from all the conversations we had, she had no interest in rekindling that flame. I was just more shocked than anything, but you know, I’m supportive. We all know she’s a confident, very secure, smart, grown woman. So whatever she’s doing, she’s doing right for herself.”
As for who's going to get married first, Gizelle predicted during her appearance on WWHL: @ Home in August (clip below) that Robyn would be the one walking down the aisle the soonest since she "has a ring on it" (Robyn and Juan got engaged for the second time in December 2019).
Gizelle also revealed Jamal's reaction to RHOP. "He's very much supportive of the show, what I do," she said on WWHL: @ Home. "He's here for it."
