Gina Kirschenheiter's Son Nicholas Is the Spitting Image of Her Husband Matt
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom "couldn't be more proud" of her 6-year-old's latest accomplishment.
Cuteness definitely runs in the Kirschenheiter family!
Gina Kirschenheiter just shared an adorable new video of her eldest child, Nicholas, on Instagram, and it stopped us in our tracks. First of all, because it featured the 6-year-old singing a touching song about equality and peace in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which made Gina gush in the caption, "Couldn't be more proud of my kid." And secondly, because it just hit us that Nicholas is practically his dad Matt Kirschenheiter's mini-me.
Check out the video, as well as some photos of Matt, Nicholas, and the rest of the family below so you can compare and obviously agree with us.
Fans watched the joys — and sometimes difficulties — of motherhood that Gina experienced with Nicholas, as well as his sister Sienna, 4, and brother Luca, 3, last season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. One huge challenge Gina faced was when she decided to file for divorce from Matt. Gina and Matt decided that the family would remain in their Coto de Caza home, but Matt would stay in his Los Angeles apartment when Gina was at home with the kids, and Gina would go to her casita when Matt spent time with the children.
Gina and Matt did not tell their children that they were getting a divorce during the season, although we saw that Nicholas had started to become curious about his mom's living situation. The couple had still not explained their separation to their kids as of the RHOC Season 13 reunion. However, Gina confirmed during an interview with Page Six in December 2018 that she and Matt had recently had the discussion with Nicholas.
But as you can see from the above photos, the Kirschenheiters have remained a tight-knit family unit throughout Gina and Matt's divorce proceedings, whether it's the holidays or for a fun family weekend.
