Gage Edward Shares a Heartwarming Message About Daughter Monroe
The Flipping Out designer is currently in a custody battle with his ex, Jeff Lewis.
Gage Edward has been very open about his split from Jeff Lewis since the pair parted ways in the beginning of 2019. The Flipping Out exes are currently co-parenting their 3-year-old daughter, Monroe, and the situation has been challenging at times, and neither of them have shied away from discussing personal details, such as their custody battle and name-change lawsuit.
Most recently, Gage shared a simple, positive message about their adorable toddler. On March 15, Gage shared a sweet photo of Monroe with a heartwarming message.
“Love. All that matters,” Gage captioned the black and white photo of his daughter sitting on his shoulders while they spent some time outside.
The last update in Gage and Jeff’s custody battle came during the February 26 episode of the Radio Andy show, Jeff Lewis Live. Jeff explained that Gage had served him with court documents, asking for legal support and equal custody. Gage also requested to legally add his middle name to Monroe’s legal name, changing it from Monroe Christine Lewis to Monroe Christine Edward Lewis.
Jeff addressed the legal action on his show by suggesting that Gage’s actions are all “about money.”
“He knows how much I love Monroe. He knows that he’s wrecking me,” Jeff said. “I think that it really has nothing to do with her best interest, nothing. I think it’s about punishing me, I think it’s about wrecking me, and I think it’s about profiting.”
When PEOPLE asked Gage to weigh in, he said, “I cannot comment on pending litigation.”
