Gael made the admission during a confessional interview on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 8.
Gael Cameron's growing connection with Nathan Gallagher continues to be complicated by the fact that she already has a boyfriend.
The latest example of this came during Season 9, Episode 8 of Below Deck Mediterranean (which aired July 22) after Gael and her boyfriend both declared that they needed to have a conversation about their relationship. He, more specifically, texted Gael, "Hey, in spite of anything, I miss you. I love you."
Replied Gael, "I miss you too. I know you've got to focus on your exams, but let's talk soon."
Then, in a confessional interview, Gael was asked by a Below Deck Med producer if she was "a little anxious" about the conversation they're going to have.
"No, I'm not anxious. You're anxious," she sarcastically responded while laughing nervously. "I'm not shaking, you're shaking."

In another confessional, Gael opened up about her and Nathan's dynamic.
"I do have a strong connection with Nathan, but at the same time, I definitely have a lot of guilt. I don't want to do this to my boyfriend, and I know that sounds really horrible, but I'm a people pleaser," she explained. "I'll let myself down but I really hate disappointing others. The last thing I want to do is hurt him more."
Nathan, for his part, has been more upfront about his feelings for Gael. On the same Below Deck Med episode, he said in a confessional of his own, "I feel like Gael's just in her own head again. I don't blame her. I definitely do like her."
"I find her attractive and I enjoy her company," Nathan added. "[But] I want to give her a wee bit of space. I don't want to come on too hard. I want to be respectful."

Nathan teased what's to come in his and Gael's relationship during a July 11 interview with The Daily Dish. As he put it, "You’re just gonna have to see what happens between me and Gael. But you can’t deny the connection we had.
"It was insane, and it was straight away," Nathan continued. "Like what you see from the show, me and Gael’s connection was like that from the moment we met each other. And it just continues to grow the entire season. It was actually really nice."
