Fredrik Eklund Confronts Andy Cohen About Ryan Serhant Selling His Apartment: "Unfair"
Fredrik Eklund shared why he was "hurt" by his former MDLNY castmate Ryan Serhant snagging Andy Cohen's listing.
Ryan Serhant is selling Andy Cohen's apartment in New York City, and Fredrik Eklund has some thoughts.
During the November 26 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show, which filmed during Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, Andy asked Fredrik, "What was your reaction to finding out that Ryan was selling my apartment?"
"You are so funny," the Million Dollar Listing New York and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles alum stated before launching into his honest feelings on the matter. "You know, I thought it was a little unfair. There's a long history with this."
He then added with a smirk, "Ryan is gonna do a fine job, if he has time for you," causing a riotous reaction in the room.
Fredrik continued by explaining why he was upset by the situation.
"You and that apartment is very near and dear to me, as you know, we spent a lot of time talking about that apartment," he shared. "So when I saw it...it hurt."
"How long is the listing agreement [with Ryan]?" Fredrik continued. "It might expire."
The Real Housewives of New York City's Erin Lichy, also a guest that night, chimed in to offer her services. "By the way, when it does [expire], I just went back to Fredrik's team," she said. "So we're ready for you."
In response, Andy quipped, "Yeah, there would be no conflict of interest there!"
Details on Ryan Serhant selling Andy Cohen's apartment in New York
Andy first revealed he enlisted Rayn to sell his West Village home on a July episode of WWHL. "Ryan’s going to be listing it this fall, I think?” Andy questioned the MDLNY alum, who was a guest on the show that evening.
A few months later, Ryan spoke to The New York Times about the $14 million listing, detailing his excitement to sell the 3,500-square-foot abode.
“The first time I ever walked into Andy’s apartment, I said, ‘Whenever you are willing to part with this, even if I have to pull it from your grip, please let me know. Because it’s a one-of-one,’” Ryan stated. “It’s one of those treasures that you wait your whole career for to find something like this that you get to bring to market and sell.”
Where is Andy Cohen moving?
Andy is moving to a different Manhattan apartment, which he noted Bravo Fan Fest has "great outdoor space." He plans to move in March 2025.
During the Ask Andy panel at the Miami event, Andy opened up about working with Ryan on the deal. "I wish you could see the goings on between us," he said. "It would make for its own show."
