Eva Marcille Is on the Most Romantic Trip for Husband Mike Sterling’s 40th Birthday

There may be no place like home for the holidays, but Eva Marcille is certainly having a Yuletide filled with good times alongside her husband, Mike Sterling, as the couple recently took off on a tropical getaway to celebrate his 40th birthday.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum took to Instagram to share glimpses into the couple's fabulous vacation, which included beautiful ocean views, a custom birthday cake, and plenty of unforgettable moments. "Happiest Birthday [Mike Sterling]," wrote Eva in the caption of her December 28 post, which featured a video of the pair aboard their flight to Turks and Caicos.

She added in the post, "Let’s do 40 like no other baby. Happy Birthday Baby, I love you."

Upon their arrival to the beautiful islands, Eva also couldn't resist sharing their gorgeous ocean backdrop, writing in the caption of her post, "It’s the view for me…"

The RHOA alum also captured a sweet moment with her hubby as they took in the panoramic ocean views together, writing in the caption of her post, "In paradise."

Cynthia Bailey reminisced about last year's trip with the couple to Puerto Morelos, Mexico, along with her husband, Mike Hill, in a comment on the video. "So bummed out we couldn’t make it," Cynthia wrote, adding, "Mike and I were looking forward to another vacation with you guys! Happy Birthday Mike!"

Cynthia also posted a throwback from that couples' getaway, showing the foursome toasting with margaritas and including a sweet birthday tribute to Eva's hubby. "Happy Birthday 40th [Mike Sterling]!" she captioned her post. "This time last year the four of us were celebrating you, life and love together! Unforgettable memories! Soooo incredibly bummed out that we are not able to be with you guys in Turks! (Our bags were packed [and] ready to go!) Excited to see you both when you return with birthday gifts in tow. So cheers to you our friend and your amazing wife [Eva] for putting this wonderful birthday gathering together for you!!! Continued love and blessings. Enjoy your birthday vacation! Love you guys!"

In addition to the beach views, Eva and Mike enjoyed lots of "playtime" and downtime, as evidenced by Eva's Instagram videos, which showed them dancing and having fun with friends and family. One post also featured a hilarious clip of Mike snoring away during what looked like a much-needed nap.

Eva also showed off the custom cigar-decorated cake that was on display for her hubby's birthday, along with a fun video of Mike enjoying a cigar and dancing to Stevie Wonder's classic birthday tune.

Mike showed love to Eva in his own Instagram post, opening up about his life and expressing gratitude for another trip around the sun. "As a young man from Beaumont, [Texas], I am grateful that I found my way to this day - my 40th birthday," he wrote, adding, in part, "My 30s, with favor from my parents and grandparents’ prayers, I continued to advise the Mayor of Atlanta, was appointed to turn around the Atlanta workforce development agency and served thousands of people find new opportunities, I started my law firm with my partner, David Dreyer, met and married the love of my life [Eva] and with our love, I was blessed to become a father of three. Along the way, I’ve made some of the closest friends who became family to me. During that time, I certainly had [setbacks], disappointments, failures, hard days, regrets, and shortcomings. But as I look back over my life and I think things over, I can truly say that I’ve been blessed and I thank God for his grace and mercy. The 40s have something to strive towards and I look forward to this new chapter and adventure. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead."
