Erika Jayne Takes Us Inside Her Latest Beauty Treatment
The RHOBH cast member confirmed it took roughly six weeks to achieve her glowing complexion.
Like countless others, Erika Jayne knows the struggles of having sensitive skin.
This was revealed on Thursday, December 19, when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member posted a video of her latest cosmetic treatment. The Reel showed Erika lying on a medical bed as Dr. Jason Emer began to perform a laser procedure.
“I’m with my gorgeous and the most fun and the best patient I’ve ever had: Erika Jayne,” the cosmetic dermatologist said in the video.
Erika Jayne gets laser treatments after six-week skincare journey
Dr. Elmer, who has treated Erika for roughly eight years, said the “Pretty Mess” artist had “struggled” with light and sensitive skin for “a very long time.” He noted that Erika was particularly prone to inflammation as her career involved regular makeup application and, in turn, a lot of face-washing.
“Just things are off and on… It took us a lot of time, recently, to get us to this place,” he continued.
Dr. Elmer revealed Erika had experienced a series of flare-ups this year and embarked on a six-week journey to calm the epidermis. The Beverly Hills ’Wife began by simplifying her daily skincare routine and was initially restricted to just one product. She slowly introduced more products over the following weeks to ensure the skin didn’t go into shock.
The doctor said the slow-and-steady approach was a success, so much so that Erika was finally ready to receive “one of [his] favorite treatments”: the BBL Hero with the Sciton Moxi. Both are non-invasive laser treatments that address a wide range of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage.
Erika Jayne says *this* skincare product "is the best"
“These are vascular lasers that’s going to help control a lot of her redness,” Dr. Elmer explained. “She literally has almost no pores, no wrinkles, no sun damage. So her skin is looking great, but before it was very red and inflamed… A couple of days ago someone saw a video of her and said, ‘Oh my god, your skin is looking so well.’ And it was true… Her skin looked so radiant. I was so happy that she actually tagged me. I was very happy that she looked so good.”
“Thank you,” Erika responded. “This is because of you.”
Dr. Elmer went on to tout the benefits of the hybrid laser procedure but emphasized not every skin type would have the same results.
“You guys have to remember when you have bad acne, bad eczema, bad rosacea, I know it affects your self-confidence,” he said. “You just have to be really diligent on good skincare products, doing the right facials, and understanding the things that are going to work for your skin.”
Erika confirmed she now uses nine skincare products and is particularly fond of the Foaming Polish from Dr. Elmer’s line.
“Your cleanser is the best,” she said. “It takes all the stuff without stripping away my face.”
What's next for Erika Jayne?
Erika shared her dermatologist appointment after announcing her big return to Broadway. The multi-hyphenate confirmed she would reprise her role as Roxie Hart in Chicago starting in early 2025. The Georgia native starred in the show in early 2020; however, her run was cut short due to the pandemic lockdowns.
“This role holds a special place in my heart, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to bring her story to life once again,” she wrote in a December 18 Instagram. “Performances run January 20th through February 9th — don’t miss it! Get your tickets now!”
