Does Shane Simpson Watch RHOC? Hear Emily’s Surprising Answer
Plus, the RHOC cast member shared an update on everything her family has been up to.
When it comes to Emily Simpson’s life on The Real Housewives of Orange County, practically nothing is off limits. Since joining the series in Season 13, Emily has been an open book while sharing details about her family, friendship dynamics, and her marriage to her husband, Shane Simpson.
The most recent example was in Season 17, Episode 8 of RHOC, where Emily made not one by two NSFW confessions about her and Shane's sex life. Although moments like that make great television for fans, it may not be the easiest thing to relive again as it airs, especially if drama is involved.
More specifically, Emily touched upon the matter by revealing whether she and her better half tune into weekly showings of RHOC when asked about her highs and lows of the season in a recent interview with BravoTV.com.
Does Emily and Shane Simpson watch RHOC? She says….
“I don’t watch the season, so I don’t know,” Emily said before explaining that she knows what happens in the show. “I mean… I lived it and Shane gives me the notes, but I really don’t watch the episodes.”
The orange holder may not have voiced her high of the season, but she did admit to having a good time while filming it, saying, “I think it was a good season. I had a lot of fun this season, maybe too much fun.”
As Emily mentioned, Shane is an avid watcher of RHOC, which made her realize that she had to “rehash” a few things at the Season 17 reunion.
Speaking of the reunion, Emily dished about her look for the Season 17 sit-down. Emily chose a "simple" curve-hugging coral to highlight her recent body transformation. “I’ve lost weight, like 40 pounds,” she shared with BravoTV.com. “I definitely wanted a dress that showed off that I’ve been working really hard.”

During Emily’s chat, she also provided an update on the latest news with her husband and their kids. “Shane and I are going on vacation… to the Dominican Republic,” she said. (They did, BTW, as she later shared, "Sometimes Mom and Dad need to not be Mom and Dad … and this week Shane and I were able to just focus on us and our relationship and spend one on one time together (mixed with at least 500 texts from our children and 325 FaceTime calls.")
When it was time for her to share the recent happenings in her children's lives, Emily talked about how Annabelle is a part of a competitive cheerleading team. As for her twin sons, Keller and Luke, the RHOC mom called them “adorable.”
She added, “I love them with all my heart - all the kids are good.”

Speaking of family, Emily often posts on social media to let fans know how her kids and husband are doing. Last month, the mom of three revealed what’s been keeping her kids busy and opened up about her marriage during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories.
“Luke takes piano and karate. Keller takes karate. Annabelle is in tennis, tumbling and she’s on a competition cheer team,” Emily said about her children’s after-school activities. “I’m going to start the boys back at swim lessons soon at Lifetime. (We took a break over the summer).”
Emily then explained in her Story how she’s able to “do it all” as a parent, writing, “It’s not easy. But Shane helps with picking up Annabelle from cheer on his way home so we just make it work!”
