Quad Webb Says Dr. Contessa Metcalfe Has Filed for Separation from Dr. Scott
The Married to Medicine Season 8 reunion will feature a shocking revelation about the couple.
Dr. Contessa Metcalfe has been open about her and Dr. Scott Metcalfe's challenges as a couple this season of Married to Medicine. So much so that her friends even tried to get the couple's marriage back on track during their trip to Jekyll Island in the Season 8 finale.
That intervention didn't go exactly as planned with Dr. Scott exiting the group dinner early to head back to his hotel room with Dr. Contessa. Things only became more strained between the couple as the getaway came to a close.
So Dr. Contessa's Married to Medicine castmates were surprised to see her social media posts showing her and Dr. Scott vacationing with their children (daughters Lauren and Laila and son Landon) after their Jekyll Island drama. According to an update in the the Married to Medicine Season 8 finale: "Since leaving Jekyll Island, Scott and Contessa are together and vacationing with the family more. Looking like the epitome of a happily married couple."
The Married to Medicine ladies continued to express confusion over Dr. Contessa and Dr. Scott's relationship during Part 1 of the Season 8 reunion, which you can preview, above. Dr. Contessa explained to the group why she and Dr. Scott still went on vacation together even after the events of Jekyll Island. "Yeah, because we have three children and we're married. We've been married for 16 years," she said. "And I guess the question is, should I just be mad all the time, angry and throwing my shoes?"
Reunion host Andy Cohen then asked Dr. Contessa, "Has 'the D-word' come up between the two of you? Have you talked about divorce?"
Dr. Contessa took a pause before she responded to Andy's question. "All these people on the stage are my friends, and I really thank you guys so much for not saying anything," she said. "But any of them can answer that question."
Quad Webb chimed in to say that they "most certainly can," and when Andy asked what the answer was, she replied on Dr. Contessa's behalf. "Contessa has moved forward with filing," Quad shared, before clarifying that Dr. Contessa "filed for separation."
Dr. Scott, who had been watching the reunion backstage with his fellow Married to Medicine husbands, appeared to be upset over what was being discussed, calling it "a sneak attack."
Everyone on the reunion set seemed to be surprised and saddened by the revelation, including Dr. Contessa, who could be seen with tears streaming down her face.
