Dorit Kemsley Speculates About "Getting Back Together" with PK as They Are "Navigating" Split
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member is opening up about how she's dealing with her separation from her husband.
Dorit Kemsley is opening up about what it would take for her to get back together with her estranged husband, Paul "PK" Kemsley, as they navigate their separation. It hasn't been easy for the mom of two, who has been working out the issues she faced with her husband of nine years as they live apart.
Both Dorit and PK have been working on things on their own, and that's exactly what it's going to take for them to consider getting back together. Dorit spoke to Us Weekly on Nov. 25, where she revealed that they're "navigating this period" in their relationship.
"I really hope that regardless of where we go — I think if we end up getting back together — that there's a lot of work that needs to be done," she said. "You don't reach this place and want to just jump back into the saddle without having done the work that you know is necessary to enjoy the marriage and have the communication that you need."
After announcing their split earlier this year, Dorit and PK remain estranged and viewers are getting a look at their issues on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14.
Dorit Kemsley says "time apart" from PK is "healthy"
Dorit continued, noting that she does "think it's possible" for her and PK to get back together. But, in the meantime, she's grateful for the time apart from her husband. "I think you need people to want it," she said to Us Weekly. "I think sometimes, having the time apart too, it can be healthy. It can also give us a chance to step back and look at our own positions and reflect, and also do some work on ourselves individually so that we can bring a better version of ourselves to the marriage."
What would it take for Dorit Kemsley to get back together with PK?
During an appearance on Page Six's Virtual Reali-Tea podcast on Nov. 13, Dorit revealed that they would "have to do work" in order to get back together, but she didn't reveal how much work they need to do.
"I think for PK and I to rush back into reconciliation, we would do ourselves a disservice because we got here," she said. "And I think that the idea was to take some time apart to reassess to do the work and either come back stronger and better and sure or to find a way to make sure that communication is always at its best."
Later that month, Dorit appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where she revealed that divorce is not "in process" between them, "nor is it even a topic of conversation."
"We are friendly, and communicating, and things are status quo," she said.
