On the July 22 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, alum Brandi Glanville made some comments about Denise Richards during a conversation with Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Kim and Kyle Richards. The allegations rocked the RHOBH cast, as you can see in the preview above. While Dorit Kemsley was not present for the conversation, she has since revealed what it was like to watch it unfold, and why she wanted to help Denise through it.
“I have a real friendship with Denise. I care about her a lot,” Dorit explained on the July 25 episode of The Daily Dish podcast, which you can listen to above. “Last year, I really got to know her, and I was going through a rough time, and she was there for me, and she was very supportive, and checking in with me. I was so grateful for it, and I don’t forget those things. When the tables have turned, and she was in that situation, I really felt like I wanted to be the same support for her and lend myself the same way she did, and know that she has my support, and I want to try and help her through it.”
Dorit also spoke about the story on the July 22 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. When asked how it felt to actually see the conversation between Brandi and the women play out, Dorit explained, “Well, it was already shocking when you hear it for the first time via the girls and then obviously to hear it out of Brandi’s mouth, it brought me right back. It’s shocking information. At least hearing it from her gave me a chance to hear her voice, because I really hadn’t heard it from her before I heard it from the girls. But it didn’t make it any less shocking, truthfully.”
