Here's What Changed Dorit Kemsley's Mind About Erika Girardi's Music Career
The #RHOBH rookie now knows that singing is more than a "hobby" for Erika.
Erika Girardi and Dorit Kemsley didn't exactly become fast friends this season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Pantygate is a pretty good example of how the two blondes are like oil and water when it comes to mixing it up with the crew. So when Dorit called Erika's pop career as Erika Jayne a "hobby" earlier this season, it seemed like she had thrown the ultimate bit of shade the singer's way.
However, after the RHOBH rookie caught a glimpse of Erika performing on a trip to Greece, her opinion of the singer's career changed. "I think well before I saw her on the show performing in Greece I understood that it wasn't a hobby," Dorit shared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday.
During her sit-down on WWHL, Dorit also reflected on the infamous Pantygate debate (you know, the one where she didn't think it was appropriate for Erika to wear a designer little white dress without undies).
"Do I blame myself? Well I did initiate the conversation with the girls, so I do have to take responsibility for that. But, you know, as I learned things sort of once they come out of your mouth they sort of take on a life of their own and escalate and particularly within a group of women you have to be accountable for what you say," she said of the hotly-contested issue among the group. "First of all, I was never mad at Erika at all. I simply said that if i was wearing a short dress and I didn't have any underwear on I would have been extremely conscious that there's not view. It's a mishap. It had sort of happened. I had said that to the girls and then once we had the discussion of it, I wanted to make light of it and that's where the whole giving of the panties [happened]."
