Dorit Kemsley Unpacks Exactly How PK Is "Toxic": "Don’t Want to Live Like That”
RHOBH's Dorit Kemsley is opening up about the "disrespectful" dynamic between her and her husband.
Dorit Kemsley is opening up about how her marriage to Paul "PK" Kemsley became "toxic."
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member announced her separation from PK back in May 2024. As Season 14 has progressed, both Dorit and PK have been sharing new details about what exactly led to the split, and how the two have been navigating co-parenting.
In a preview for Season 14, Episode 6 (set to air on January 7), which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post, Dorit sits down with bestie Erika Jayne to discuss the latest in her separation.
"When it comes to the kids, and I've told you this a million times, and even though I'm so hurt and angry, I can literally compartmentalize my feelings for my children," Dorit, who had just come from daughter Phoenix's ballet recital, shares (she also has a son named Jagger Kemsley with PK).
"For the moment, yeah," Erika, who split from Tom Girardi in 2020, agrees.
"You just took the words out of my mouth," Dorit continues, noting that she has a therapy session with PK scheduled for the next week, and that it would be the first therapy session for the estranged spouses since they stopped speaking.
"I don't want to be spoken to a certain way," the mom of two tells Erika about what she hopes to gain from the session.
Then, in an interview on the episode, Dorit opens up about how bad the communication between her and PK has gotten.
"When I talk about PK and I getting toxic, he would speak to me in a very aggressive, disrespectful way. And I, in turn, would do the same," she says. "I don't want to live like that anymore."
Would Dorit Kemsley get back together with PK?
Though PK and Dorit were not in a good place in their relationship when RHOBH Season 14 filmed, she does now "think it's possible" for the two to reconcile in the future. First, though, they need to work on their communication.
"I really hope that regardless of where we go — I think if we end up getting back together — that there's a lot of work that needs to be done," Dorit told Us Weekly back in November. "You don't reach this place and want to just jump back into the saddle without having done the work that you know is necessary to enjoy the marriage and have the communication that you need."
She added that both her and PK would have to "want it."
"I think sometimes, having the time apart too, it can be healthy," she continued. "It can also give us a chance to step back and look at our own positions and reflect, and also do some work on ourselves individually so that we can bring a better version of ourselves to the marriage."
