Dorinda Medley Breaks Down Her Six Degrees of Separation to Hillary Clinton
Find out just how close the #RHONY mom is to the former presidential candidate.
When Dorinda Medley isn't hanging with the ladies of The Real Housewives of New York City, you can find her hobnobbing around the Big Apple with the political elite. And that's just how she spent her weekend, catching up with her old pal, Hillary Clinton. You may have heard of her?
For those of you who may have caught a glimpse of that photo of Dorinda's timeline and wondered, "How do they know each other?", Dorinda recently explained their connection. "Hillary was a big part of our life at one point, and it's so funny because Hannah is incredibly comfortable with her because she was little when she first met her," she told Too Fab. "Both Bill and Hillary -- they're always so gracious and kind and happy to see you. She always says something relevant to make you feel like, you know, she really feels close to you. She's just amazing like that."
Their most recent catch-up session took place at the nuptials of Sophie Lasry and Alex Swieca at Cipriani Wall Street.
And, as Dorinda put it, "everybody who was anyone was there." And she's not lying. The event was also attended by Bill Clinton (naturally), Huma Abedin, Jennifer Lopez and boyfriend Alex Rodriguez and Donald Trump's daughter Tiffany Trump. Oh, yeah, Dorinda's daughter, Hannah Lynch, was also there. "It was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to," she told TooFab. "[Marc Lasry, the father of the bride,] is an old friend of my late husband [Richard Medley], and Hannah is best friends with Sophie. The flowers, the decorations, the food -- it was pretty outstanding. I said to Hannah, 'Don't think you're gonna have anything quite like this. Don't get used to this, 'cause this ain't happening!'"
In case you didn't know, Richard also dabbled in politics. He was the Chief Economist for the House Banking Committee and Chief of Staff for the Democratic leadership in the U.S. Senate under Robert Byrd. He was later the head speechwriter for Geraldine Ferraro's Vice Presidential campaign during the 1984 election. Dorinda and Richard were married in 2005, until his passing in 2011.
Below, Dorinda opens up a bit more about their marriage. She also dishes more about their time together in the video above.
