Dolores Catania Reveals She Worked with Bill Aydin Before She Met Jennifer
The RHONJ cast member shared new insight into her career as a surgical assistant.
We already know that the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is a pretty tight-knit group of ladies. Dolores Catania often shares her memories of her decades-long friendship with Teresa Giudice, but it turns out she has a connection with another member of the Garden State group that dates back to before her days as a ‘Wife.
On a recent episode of the Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino podcast, Dolores revealed that before she knew Jennifer Aydin, she worked alongside her husband, plastic surgeon Dr. Bill Aydin. While chatting about cosmetic procedures, Dolores dropped the fun fact as she was explaining how she always finds great plastic surgeons.
“I know doctors,” Dolores said. “I dated a couple, and I’m a surgical assistant by trade. Also, I worked with Dr. Aydin.”
When asked, “You worked with Dr. Aydin before Housewives?” Dolores explained, “Yeah, I’m a surgical assistant!” She also explained that at the time, she had not yet met Jennifer. “I just knew him. I would assist him in surgery. Like, I’d hand him his instruments.”
Back in 2018, Dolores opened up about her journey to becoming a surgical assistant in a video for The Daily Dish, which you can check out, above. The RHONJ mom explained that she began her certification when she was 37, adding, “I went to school to get the degree, that almost killed me. It took forever to get. I had to take a class to say the name of the classes that I was taking. I had to take medical terminology to say pathophysiology.”
