Dolores Catania Clarifies What She Meant By Joe Giudice Not Changing After Prison
The RHONJ BFF opened up about Teresa Giudice's husband and recent comments she made about him on the show.
Earlier this season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dolores Catania opened up about what she thinks Joe Giudice will be like when he comes home from his 41-month prison sentence, sharing, "A leopard doesn't always change his spots. [Joe] may be a little soft-spoken and humbled now, but let him get a little comfortable at home, Teresa."
So when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen this week, she was asked what exactly she meant by that statement. "Well, here's the thing, I'm sure he's changed in a lot of ways. But, to me, whatever's in your DNA, you are what you are," she said in the Clubhouse. "He's like an old-school Italian guy. People don't change. I am who I am; he is who he is. That's what I mean. In a good way, he will be who he is."
Dolores then weighed in on what she thinks the future holds for Joe and wife, Teresa Giudice, in the clip above.
Joe is currently serving 41 months for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud at Federal Correctional Institution Allenwood in Pennsylvania. His sentence began in March 2016 at the FCI in Fort Dix, New Jersey and he was transferred at the end of 2017 to the Pennsylvania location. A judge ruled back in October that Joe will be deported back to Italy following the completion of his 41-month prison sentence. His legal team has since filed an appeal in that decision, and they are awaiting word on what's next for him.
Below, the women chat more about Joe these days in the RHONJ After Show.
