Dolores Catania Has Some Thoughts on Teresa Giudice and Kim D's Reconciliation
The RHONJ cast member also weighed in on Teresa's friendship with Jacqueline Laurita.
The reunion between Teresa Giudice and Kim “D” DePaola was as unexpected as it was polarizing. Some questioned the motives behind the reconciliation while others were thrilled to see the longtime foes finally bury the hatchet. But what did Teresa's bestie Dolores Catania think of the fence-mending? Well, she said she fell in the latter group.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom addressed the repaired friendship during a recent appearance on Us Weekly's Happy Hour with Us series. The interview went down about nine months after Teresa and Kim D began taking steps to squash their years-long beef.
“I love it! I love that!” Dolores said about the reconciliation. “That’s a relationship that needed to be rekindled. It only took six or seven or eight years to calm down. Life’s short. They had a really close friendship. Now they can talk, now that things are calm and they’re not mad at each other anymore. It only takes, in Jersey, eight years to get over a tiff.”
Teresa Giudice and Kim D end their years-long feud
Kim D made her RHONJ debut in Season 2 and took on a “friend of” role in seasons 4 and 5. She made several more guest appearances up until Season 8, in which she propagated infidelity rumors involving Teresa and her now ex-husband, Joe Giudice. The two would spend the following years exchanging jabs online and various media appearances, but seemingly made amends in August 2023 when fans noticed they had refollowed each other on Instagram.
Fast-forward to February 2024, when the two were spotted hanging out at New Jersey’s Rails Steakhouse alongside Teresa’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas. Teresa spoke about the reconciliation during a March episode of her Namaste B$tches podcast, saying she and Kim D “picked up right where [they] left off.”

Teresa says she "never had a problem with" Kim D
“I never had a problem with her. Matter of fact, I liked hanging out with her. I had fun with her,” Teresa said. “Obviously, someone fed her lies about me. And I looked in her eyes, and she told me what she heard. And I said that’s not true. You know, I said, that’s not true.”
Several months later, the two reunited for Kim D’s intimate birthday lunch, which the Posche owner documented on Instagram. The post was flooded with hundreds of comments, including one from RHONJ alum Jacqueline Laurita, who simply wrote: “This makes me happy!”

Jacquline left RHONJ after Season 7, which chronicled her messy rift with Teresa. The two, thankfully, repaired their relationship several years ago and have remained on good terms. Dolores said she also approved of that reconciliation, as she believed Teresa and Jacqueline were true friends.
“I love that, too,” she said. “I advocate [for] anybody who had a history, who were really friends making up. Those are real friendships.”
